K-1 at NVC

OK, I've got my NOA2, I see everyone on the timelines have dates for when it arrives the NVC and leaves, and subsequently arrives at the consulate. How do you get this information?

NVC has no tracking online, you need to call their number 603-334-0700.

---- if you use an automated system get ready with your receipt number from your NOA1.

----if you talk to a live person or to an operator, you should know your receipt # from NOA1 and the b-date of the petitioner.

To get the case number for K1, you must talk to the NVC operator. Just like Tim said in the previous post, K1 cases are not entered in the NVC automated system.

They will also mail you the NVC case number. My US fiancee sent me an email stating that she received the case number for us. I phoned up NVC and they asked for it. I just asked when it came and when it left. Conversation was maybe 45 seconds long.

Yeah, like they said you have to talk to an operator. Might not even be worth worrying about too much as it gets there and leaves so quickly it will probably be at your consulate before you can get through to an NVC operator! Mine got there and left the same day!

I wasn't all that worried about it, I just wanted to know the dates to fill in my timeline, for the sake of completeness.

I think mine was approved on the same day as yours, but NVC still hasn't received it yet. NSC says that they mailed it on 2/10/2006, so 2 weeks hasn't passed yet...
