According to the visajourney's guide to filling k-1 visa forms, it looks like my fiancee also has to write a page or so in addition to mine, explaining how we met in the past two years. I thought it was just the petitioner who writes that??? am I wrong???

Yes, you're wrong. I suggest you read carefully, interpret literally and follow the instructions to the letter. Your description about indicates you've misread the instructions and mixed item 4 with item 5. They are separate.

Yah I ran into that under visa tips also U ONLY NEED TO WRITE one if your the petitioner....i dont know why it says that but I have brought it up to someone and they are looking into correcting so it doesnt conflict...and yes when I asked the question I got same reply as u form people, but dont worry u only need the ONE.

Hope this Helps

And so anyone who want to see where he is probably referring look below:

K-1 Fiance Visa: Tips on Forms and Documents

The following items may make your life easier and help you get a little sleep at night :-) :

Make sure that your "original statement of having met in person" --------->>>>(you and your fiance should write one)<<<<---------- is signed by hand in ink by each person and not just typed. You should ask your fiance to write this when you are first starting work on the I-129F since it will likely take them a few days to do this and and even longer for them to mail to you (international mail can be slow if sent at the standard speed).

So the only confusion is BECAUSE IT DOES conflict with other info on site....

Mailed n-400 : 4-3-14

USCIS Received : 4-4-14

NOA1 Sent : 4-8-14

Biometrics Appt Letter Sent : 4-14-14

Hmmm? Yes, that is a conflict. It's a bad tip. Further, many don't even need a separate page for that. They can just fit the statement of how they met in the form itself. You need two original signed letters of intent and one explanation of having been together in person during the past two years, just like the I-129F instructions read.

What it is with you telling people they can't read properly?

Hey :) I know that you're getting conflicting information, but I would honestly suggest just rereading the I-129F instructions and sending what is required by that form. I would say that the I-129F instructions would be more reliable than information from anywhere else. That way, you can avoid any trouble in the future. I am under the impression that you don't really have to write two separate letters but that both your signature and your fiancee's signature are required on the papers explaining how you met and intend to marry within 90 days of entering the US. That way, the USCIS has proof that both of you are aware of the filing and are aware of the time limits and expectations surrounding a K1 visa. After all, a K1 is technically filed by two people, not just one. I hope this is good advice :)

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

Pushbrk may be a little blunt, but does provide concise and unemotional advice when it is most required, and I for one value the knowledgeable contribution he makes to the community, as do many others. His approach is just what is needed on these forums. Especially when there are so many emotions involved in this process.

OP....what Pushbrk later qualified is correct. Just the one letter (if necessary and the information does not fit on the form) and this is from the petitioner.

My Attorney told me that my fiance and I must submit a Declaration of Meeting, so we did.
