Hello guys,

I am new in this forum, for what I read I think you can help me with all this proccess.

I will like to ask if an any previous denied visa(F1) is an issue for K1, we are afraid that we could be refuse bc of that. Is anyone past for this before?.

I would think it depends on the reason why the visa was denied before. If the same thing is part of the K1 visa, and that still exists, then changing visas wouldn't fix what was wrong before. Maybe you should give a little more background so people could respond better.

Like if the person had criminal convictions and that's why they were denied, then the criminal convictions would still come up in a K1 application.

Why was the F1 visa denied?

I was in USA as a nanny(with J1) and I had an american family who help me to changed my status from J1 to F1, they were my sponsors. I came to Peru to visit my family and when I went to my interview the consul asked me if I was taking care of the children and I say yes(big mistake). So they told me I couldnt do that with an F1. I felt terrible :crying: I miss my fiance a lot and I want to be with him again.

You're going to have to rehearse an acceptable answer to why you tried to obtain an F1 visa. I'd consult an immigration attorney because the devil is going to be in the details on this.
