A 1040 WITHOUT supporting evidence is NOT a complete return, things like W2 and/or 1099 are required to prove the numbers on the 1040, anyone can download and fill out a 1040 with what ever numbers they wish, it is the supporting docs that prove the numbers.

So did they say you need a joint-sponsor? I do not think they will accept her child support as income.

I believe it has to be earned income or assets. What is AV?

We had to have a joint-sponsor too Didn't you say in a previous post that she earned $41,000? That should be plenty of income unless she has a lot of dependents besides you and unless she is counting income they do not consider.

This income could be earned, such as wages, or unearned, such as dividends or interest from savings and retirement funds. It could also include nontaxable income in the form of alimony and child support. It could include retirement benefits, workers and unemployment compensation, and disability benefits, but it may not include means-tested benefits such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
