no just wanted to be at home watching TV :luv:

You were smart. I have been trying to watch it pon the net from the office but the rass stream keeps kicking me out. I should've went to the bar next door cuz I heard alot of cheering down there. I'm gonna see of I can download his speech into some type of podcast so I can listen to the whole thing on the plane tomorrow.

We all gathered around a tv one each floor here.

hey ells.. ok, how long was lady d gone for.. i can't wait to hear about her trip..

mr rg called me this afternoon han sing "i just called, to say, I love u" I had just talked to him this morning so I thought something was wrong.. MY BABY...halways mek me skin mi teeth LOL.. I know i didn't say that one right :hehe::rofl::rofl:

i wasn't able to catch as much of the inauguration as I wished i had.. hopefully they will have playbacks this evening..

Lady d went for 2 weeks I think....she's back now but just waiting to hear from her now. I know she's feeling like we all do when we get back....depressed! :crying:

Awww....that's sweet of the mister to call and serenade you! :luv:

I'm sure there will be plenty of recaps...I want to catch the swearing in cause I just missed that part.

Hey Dillon....someone told me they heard the weather we had last week will be our coldest of the whole winter here. I hope they are right.

Hey Dillon....someone told me they heard the weather we had last week will be our coldest of the whole winter here. I hope they are right.

This is so true. I have talked to so many young Jamaican men that really feel the music videos they see on BET/MTV are how we live. Especially if they hear you are from Atlanta or New York. Then, some of us go down pretending to be ballers...maxing out credit cards and staying in hotels that are over $100 per night...knowing that we will be living on Ramen noodles for the next 6 months because of it. Not to mention Jamaicans that come abroad and then go back home and try to floss all the gifts and name brand extras that they went broke trying to carry back, so they don't look like a failure. It is a vicious circle of illusion and lies.

Ok, so watching the inauguration they pray before the ceremonies got started during the inauguration after the inauguration and before lunch... so why is their no prayers in public school, When its at center of our nation? Just wondering....

I could not agree more with this statement...

me too.. i hate it cuz one of my "acquaintances" does this.. he hasn't been back to ja in 2 yrs becuz he wanted to be "right" when he went. so now in preparation, he has all kinds of jewlery on layaway, stocking up on the name brand clothes and shoes, glasses, watches.. its PATHETIC..jus PATHETIC..

RG just rolls his eyes at him.. i know its easy to say when ur not in the shoes, but I dont think RG will do that kinda thing.. he is very genuine and real, no need to put on a poppy show and go broke trying to be something ur not.. be honest and truthful w/ ur people.. even if they are disappointed by it..

You can watch it on MSNBC - now the daymn thing works!! Just like the security, they should've beefed up the resources for the net for those who had to work and watch.
