jamericann you can take the birth control prescibed by a doctor for that whole month. it will prevent it from coming for that month and you can discontinue it after you return. it may mess up your regular cycle but since you don't keep track well that won't be a problem

I have done this before and that is probably why I have no clue as to when it is coming until it gets here.... I was just hoping not to do that as my bc prescription is real old due to my tubes being tied. Thanks for the info

maybe you can still take it to the pharmacy and explain to the pharmacist cause it's still a legitimate prescription

yep . however some people says it doesn't work for them but it always work for me cause when i used to take BC i just continued instead of having the break for my period.i just keep taking the new pack for the other mth

Good afternoon ladies, I am so pissed right now aunt flo has ruined yet another JA trip for me . She decided to show up late this month conflicting with my trip so I cancelled. I dont ever want to go through that again so I might not get to see my boo for Valentines day after all. Later, am going to go cry some more.

Lovesponge, I completely understand your frustration - been there, done that myself! But isn't it more important to have the time together? Lots of things you can do around Auntie Flo and if you marry him, he'll have to deal with that monthly - might as well get used to it now!

I know and he will deal with it then, but to be quite honest I need some D*@k and am sure he feels the same way.

question....don't laugh....I just got off my monthly-yesterday and I am scheduled in JA 30 days from today.....does that mean what I think it will??? I don't keep track of my cycle (I know bad) and I go for a full 5 days....shouldn't it be like every 28 days ??? GOOD LORD U THINK I JUST STARTED THIS....not 44years old...see what I mean embarrased!!!! LOL

Yeah we had that talk also....I told him we might have a "visitor" on the trip...he said she can come and bring the uncle, neices and nephews too cause him just glad to have me there.....You know I was like....awwww but but but....I aint coming all that way just to look at you!!! thats what pictures are for!!!! It really depends on the MAN....JA MAN! This would be a really good topic of discussion...the superstitions of the JAMAICAN MAN... I have seen both ways...some who have no problem and others who won't go near days before and days after.... I do want to say that my comments are not ALL from direct experience but from conversations from jamaican male friends. The same goes for oral.... are we gonna open up that can of worms??? LOL...no pun intended!

We can open it for the fun of conversation, my boo wont touch it with a ten foot pole when aunt flo is visiting but as far as downtown we have visited all the streets and avenues there

Wouldn't work here JW - Prescriptions have an expiration date - even if you have something with refills, you only have so long to get the refill - it's an attempt to keep people with serious medical conditions from self treating and not being monitored by a doctor.

Me and you both Jakes...Sometimes my cramps can be so bad that first day or two it's not even funny. When I was there this last time, my husband was so sweet. All he could do was bring me warm tea and rub my back. I didn't want him to talk or do anything else! :lol:

i DO NOT know if it works anywhere else either. i just thought the pharmacist would take it cause she did already do the check up to be prescribed the birth control

Most of my female friends agree with you. They think it is gross, but I have to have it every so often or else I go beserk. That was the most difficult thing with this LDR. Anyway, tomorrow soon come! LOL
