Wakey - great questions and lots of good advice.

My issue is the opposite...hubby rarely leaves the house without me. I move...he moves. In 4 years, he has met lots of friends but won't accept any invitations. I always encourage him to go out. The only true friend he had moved to NY two years ago. He finally met two guys recently who he likes to hang out but I still have to push him outta the door. I have to plan "play dates" sometimes to keep my sanity. Hopefully, he'll go hang with the fellas more.

I'm thinking you and I may have similar situations with our men's social lives but of course I won't know that until he gets here. I have this feeling he'll be very dependent on me for a while. I'm going to do everything I can to get him to go out and explore (within reason of course)! It would be crazy for him to live in San Francisco and not go out and learn about it.

OMG>>> i just had to share, as im sitting at home trying to work i just got an email so of course i had to check it out, it was from someone on MYSPACE, normally i dont get on too often just every blue moon, anyway i just got an email from my stepsister, whom i have not seen in over [b]20 years... i swear to god i am so freaking excited and elated and trippin all at the same time. The last time i saw here i was maybe 18, well when my dad moved south i didnt see them anymore, he kept making excuses saying he was coming back North to see me and visit and he never did, and then he developed glaucoma and couldnt see well enough to make that drive and me becoming more and more resentful of him, stopped keeping in touch( OKAY i know im rambling) and when i got of age, i wasnt interested in making any cross country journeys to Mississippi, so me and her lost touch. How sad is that and then i think my dad feeling some guilt for kind of drifting away would call every blue moon. Well last i heard she had married and moved to CALI and had a child... that is supposed to be my sister and we know nothing about one another and now she has found me....LORD< LORD....!!!

Being someone that is adopted, i tend to have seperation issues, so this is like such a major deal to me, i found like someone went out of there way to find me ( cheesing and crying at the same time)

My hubby had his doctors appointment today. All went well. He didn't even have to pay for anything extra... BUT.... he was told to come back on the 16th to receive his results and pick up they paperwork. HIS INTERVIEW IS ON THE 17!!!!

Are they serious?? On the 16th... what happens if it's not ready?? He says he questioned the lady on her certainty that it would be there... and she said it would be there on the 16th. He said he also tipped her so HOPEFULLY that helps a lil. We shall see.

14 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mrs. Buggy! Boy, it's gonna be a long day. Up at 3 a.m., flight at 6 a.m., in Miami for 4+ hours & reaching JA at 9 p.m. I'll probably be the only person grinning in the immigration line!

Crossing fingers for everything to go smoothly for hubby so there is no hang up at his interview! Are you going there for it?

So sorry Jaws! Your nephew looks so young and that's so tragic. My condolences to you and your family...may he rest in peace!

I agree with Dillon and Quana - You have to have your together time and your alone time - I wouldn't be happy if he were taking off every night and we weren't spending time together, but I think twice a month is a bit restrictive - Too much together time was somewhat of a downfall of my last relationship - because he had no friends, and we went everywhere together - but I have a ton of friends, and when we went out to a club, they were always around - I think you have to build your lives together, and your lives apart -

What about hosting dominoes night at your house? If he's keeping you separate from his friends, that would bother me - but bring them around - no issues.

I wished the mister could meet some friends, he hangs out with my friend husband but he doesn't understand when he talks and always asking him what he says, and he is so shy. I wish he would meet some friends. Just now he was using my #### to bounce his tennis balls (I was going to say to bounce his balls but I just realized that some may get the wrong idea so let me spell out what kinda balls)

My hubby is quiet, not shy, but he keeps to himself, until he finds his comfort zone with a person. Have your hubby join a gym (if $$$) are available or take a class at a community college or even do volunteer work (my hubby does this) a the local rec center with the soccer camps they have. Like I've said in the past, they just have to find their way. My hubby also goes out and I have no issues with it, if I did, I would let him know. I go out as well (not as much as he does). Before he asked me to marry him we talked and talked and he told me if there is anything he's doing and I don't like it to let him know and I have and he corrects it. It's always a work in progress.
