LOL! I remember when we stopped at a stand in Negril and the guy mixed us a red bull, rum & magnum. I was reluctant to try it and for good reason. One sip and it reminded me of cough syrup....I seriously wanted to HURL! I choked some of it down out of kindness and finally said, "I'm so sorry but I can't drink this...I don't like it!" and handed it back. I felt ungrateful but there was no way I was gonna have a warm cup of that stuff!

Hey all just dropping by...Jahoney my hubby doesn't write in cursive either he prints his name so when he was signinig his forms he printed his name. it was no problem...he is practicing to write join up now cause I told him everyone is going to know how to forge his siggy...hubby is still looking for work...nothing so far...I guess we picked the worst time to come up to the US...jobs are scarce...i'm lucky to still have my job (knock on wood) since I work in the financial industry...on Wed they let go our entire desktop support group and outsourced it to some company and got rid of our entire loan syndication group and moved the work to Toronto...last summer we were a company of 1200 in the US and now we only have 300 employees...its bananas...they are moving everything to Toronto...my company is a canadian bank...

Hey Jgay, yes times are hard. But I'm sure he'll find something within the next month or so. I wish I could quit my job sometimes just cause we are too busy. Of course soon as this project wraps up there is nothing in the pipes to have us start on, so i could be in trouble then.

I know how the uncertainty feels Jgay. It is a very hard time to have hubby come here but when I think about that for us too, I think it still beats being separate. I hope your job stays stable!

Honey, I always use Tax Act and it has been pretty reliable so if you get too frustrated with the other, try theirs! I use them for federal returns and go direct to my state web site for the state return cause it's free.

I didnt know that?!! Did you hear.....our governor put a deadline on filing state taxes and getting refunds for TOMORROW!! If you file after tomorrow you WONT get a refund. Even if you are due to have one, cause CA is so in a defecit they cant afford to pay us. They'll give and IOU.

This is great!! Now they just need Jet Blue from Long Beach to Mobay non-stop and I'll be happy. We only have one option to go non-stop right now.

Sounds nasty but its soooo good. I forget what its called, but it has an official name. We had it at a friends house for dinner there once. And we were giving to the little 5 year old girl too. I was questioning wether that was ok, but they all seemed fine with it, and so did she.

Jgay, I am sorry to hear but hang in there - it's such a scary time right now, no one knows what tomorrow will bring. My company has been outsourcing for a while, or moving whole groups to lower cost areas - it's unreal - I got a vm from someone yesterday, called her back this am and received a message that she no longer works for the company!

Has your hubby tried temp agencies? It might not be the kind of work he wants, but at least it's work for now - they have them for all types of jobs, I had a friend that was working with a construction temp agency, doing day labor stuff and making decent money -

I wouldn't expect it to be long before Jet Blue adds more routes - They are headquartered out of NY so they usually start there - but they seem to be the one airline that is consistently growing. I love Jet Blue - I have never had anything but positive experiences on them.

Oh, I'd be mad! When you buy something to use it for something specific and then have someone else use it for something and you don't get any! The only child in me throws a fit! LOL!

NO, I didn't know that! Oh well, guess I'll be getting an IOU then. It's not like I've ever received any more than about $60 back from the state each year anyways. Usually it's anywhere from $40-60...I can wait for that. But don't mess with my federal man!!

am flying into Kingston and staying in Port Antonio, Portland I will be there for Valentines Day but Auntie Flo will be visiting for the first couple days

No its ok I wish I had some pills I would do the same thing

I like Ochi I was there in November, s very nice over there and the airport is close. There is also no connections when I fly out of Mobay. My family and his lives in Portland and i cant get away with another trip without visiting them or else I would be right there with you
