portland how is your job hunt going.? i am still applying to a couple of places just hoping to get an interview

Its going, kinda of slow got a couple calls for some weird jobs that I wasn't interested, I don't really want to rush into any job cause if I don't like I can quit but then I won't get unemployment.... so while I can collect I am taking my time. I am just worried about not having health insurance, could sign up for cobra but don't want to spend the extra money.

headed to the museum lata....

i don't want to rush either cause it would look funny that i just arrive and over a 3 mth period i may change jobs cause i know i didn't like the job. i am trying to find something i like something that i see myself doing for a while.so i am taking my time too.

Lawny. I'm always happy even when I'm PISSED. LOL. I will be heading back to work doing half days on Monday. I just don't want to fight for another paycheck again. I can't afford not to get paid because somebody wants to play a game of red tape with my benefits.

IW i am not sure how bad it is here but i still see jobs on monster.com , careerbuilders,snagajob. i applied for the ones i think i could do so i am waiting for an interview. i really would like the one with the non profit agency but maybe it won't pay much

don't forget temp agencies, a lot of employers are hiring for short-term contracts or part-time so they don't have to pay benefits.

well mi looking for fulltime work. most of the jobs i applied for i called the companies to follow up .

Hello everyone....Was trying all morning to reach yall but my computer was tripping....BUT happy news, did my taxes last night and whooo hooo I am gettin a nice refund!! it is good to be poor the rest of the year...lol, already pricing my ticket to JA in April!

Topic of discussion...what do you guys think of this woman who had 8 babies? So far the man hasnt been around (they say he is working overseas), she has already 6 at home...home is living in a 3 bedroom house with her parents.....hmmmmm

no doubt it will be hard but they have to adjust and i would think she will be getting alot of help from members in her neighbourhood. like the lady who had the sextuplets

Nah...nothing like that. It's our 2nd engagement together...the first one doesn't count b/c we ended things b/c I didn't want him to have to choose between me or his kids. We split for about a month LOL.
