OMG!!! I was just checking out timelines before getting back to work and noticed this!

# ---------- Names ---------------- Date Sent -------------- First NOA ------------- RFE ------------- Second NOA

1009 ----- K and D -------------- 2008-12-31 -------------2009-01-02 ------------------------------- 2009-01-08

HOW???? Congrats for them but seriously, HOW?? 6 days from NOA1 to NOA2???

Crazy egh....just happens sometimes. I think they forget to pull a file from the bottom and just pull it from the top.

Check out the posts related to the person - the visa is for Cuba, and here is the explanation from one poster:

Cuban nationals must complete an exit visa (carta blanca) process before they are able to leave their Country. Therefore, the process stateside is often expedited to counter-balance this.... at least it used to be.

When it comes time for us to go through that process, I'll be using the latest, updated form. The 10/08 revision has no notary area and the instructions for that new form indicate it's not necessary. I'm going that route!

Okay, thanks Sus! I didn't notice the Cuba part of that person's profile. When I looked at their timeline, it said Armenia!:blink::blink: After that, I didn't notice the discrepancy. Well, that makes sense then I guess.

Still frustrating, though Ells! Can we get it expedited because of the JA "Soon Come" attitude?

It wasn't that bad - just don't do it yourself or you will have hickeys where ya don't want them!

Has anyone here seen the movie 'What Dreams May Come'? It was okay...enough for me to not 'not like it'. I might have really liked it except for a couple things. 1) At just under 2 hours, it was still a bit too long and convoluted and 2) (this is what knocked it down a star) is that I made a little observation about the director's idea of heaven and hell that really bothered me. In the depiction of heaven, it was mostly white people floating around and la la la. Once they got to the gates of hell, who did they cast? Mostly black people! #######??? That stereotypical BS notion that all 'good' people are white and 'bad' people are black. And these Hollywood directors keep perpetuating that #######. For that I *almost* didn't like the movie but it had other good elements.
