Shrewdie there is this plastic you can buy at the store, you cut it to fit your windows and then you use a blowdryer and it suctions on to the windows or something like that and keeps cold air out, or you could be ghetto and just get some sheets of plastic and a roll of masking tape and cover all the windows, preventing a seal against any air coming thru the cracks.. basically you give up on seeing daylight again until spring hits, but it does work, i have just been lazy.. guess i better get on it.

thanks honey!

A lady in my bible study's heating bill was $700 this month!

she keeps the thermostat on 67

What the heck!

i should probably do this before M gets home because my house is a cold mess!

especially the bedroom!

We ended up buying the thickest painter's plastic we could find (like you put down when painting) and double sided tape. I like it better cause it's much thicker. And, I don't own a hair dryer.

Shrew, I'm messing with you...

Honey,

I do that all the time and it does keep the cold out.

which method do you use Tre?

Shrew the kind I have at my house, let me see if I can explain it...you have to lay down these strips and then you clip the plastic sheets into them, it kind of looks like a one layer zip lock bag...I also check for drafts at the doors.

We have these crappy old double windows. I open the first set and place towels in the bottom of all of them before I seal them up in the plastic.

I paid the least in July, August and September.

Spring break, winter, Christmas break........more expensive.

I'm looking at july now and it's almost $500. That's a bit crazy. I sure hope it goes down or else I'll be vacationing elsewhere.

Quick tip for getting into a freezing cold bed at night. Get out the hair dryer and with you in the bed, turn it on 'high' and lift the blankets so you can warm up the whole inside! Once you're nice and toasty, turn off hair dryer and go to sleep!

Good idea! I have been freezing since I got back and was going to go break down today and buy an electric blanket. I hate getting into a cold bed.

Does anyone else get super stressed at work before you go on vacation???

Yes!! At work and at home.

Lands End flannel sheets. I think they are a 6 or something in their rating system. We use them year round. My bed is never cold when I get in it. Swear by them.

Did you go to Forest Park?

If Andre didn't have to work, I would've taken the car and gone. Stuck home all day.

He didn't forget how to take public transportation. You should have let his tail catch the bus. LMAO

Can someone help me? What is the average size a 4 year-old wear in clothes and shoes? My brothers in law are taking care of a little girl and have no idea what they are doing. The mother is away for an extended time....no other females in the family. Thanks.

She should be around a size 4T - but of course it really depends. My best friend's daughter is 2 and wears a 4T.

Shem - My nephew is a size 5 - shoes I have no clue!

Thanks. I was thinking about 5 or 6. He said maybe 6T but I don't think I've seen a 6T before. Wonder if there's a difference between a 6T and a regular 6. I haven't shopped for a little one in a long time.

Told him I need a shoe size...clothes are easy.

No 6T - it ends at 5T. There is a 6X which is like a 6 1/2.

Yes we went to Art Hill and had a blast that was my first time going. Afterwards we went to Dewey's Pizza and then I came home and crashed.
