Jakeswife, sorry I disappear for a couple of hours, I had to take that nap. Now, the question about non-profit companies offering tution reimbursement. Well, it truly will depend on the size of the company, generally a large company with 1000 or more employees might offer some type of tution reimbursement. So, if the company is a small or mid-size company, they tend not to offer tutuion reimbursement.

WOW girl that sure was an exhausting trip  but I am very happy that you made it through and is back home safe and sound  congrats to you an A. Is his little boy coming with him?

It's funny you said that because after that we did NOTHING! Went to Hellshire after the interview and took a nap then walked to be beach to eat, have a beer and chill out. Was in bed by 9! Went to Ochi on Friday and we mostly napped, and watched tv. We went to a block dance Friday night and then to Oceans for a drink but was back in bed by 11:00. I told him I have never slept so much but I guess that's what we needed after all that stress.

Jr's not coming - he didn't go to the interview with us either. That drama will be saved for a different time.

I was glad to drive my own car on the right side of the road and to sleep in my own bed, but I didn't like sleeping alone. :crying: I was gald to see my babies though - my son kept calling and checking on me yesterday asking bout which airport you in now and what time was I getting home (even though he was at Dad's all night).

Oh he is going to talk to her and he sounded shocked that she sent it back. He said he would talk to her tonight and will call me tomorrow. He has put himself in this situation by letting her continue to hold this grudge and being the middle man for the past 6 years. He did say he will always have a relationship with me even if her and I don't. She is hold the grudge that when she asked me to be in their wedding I said no. The reason why I said no wasn't because I didn't approve of their wedding but because I had a 5 month old who at the time would not let ANYONE hold her not even my parents. So I didn't want her to be screaming during the wedding.

Fooey..it's time for HER to get over that!!

I am so excited I am bursting tonight.

Dont' know if you all know how huge a baseball fan I am....but, I've got it bad. Had it bad all my life. (love a few other sports too.....Go STEELERS!!). Anyhow, St. Louis has the major league baseball all star game this year. Looking up tickets on ebay and right now, IF you can even get them, they are like $800+ for 2 tickets. There's a whole week of festivities surrounding the game that week too. Downtown will be a zoo.

I happened upon our team site to look for tickets and found out they are looking for volunteers for the week. I SIGNED UP IMMEDIATELY. I want to be a part of all the festivities and attend the game so bad you can't imagine. To do it free....to be a part of it all, would just be incredible. Wish me luck cause I want this more then anything I've wanted in a really long time. Sports fan's dream. My best friend signed up and we signed up to work together. on the same shifts. So, wish us both luck.

LOL - I remember last year's baseball season with you JG. Good luck!

Morning all!

Good Evening Everyone! For those of you following my saga, here goes. I was in JA 1/19 - 1/126 and called the embassy, visa center and DHL. Basically, I have been told there is no problem with the visa, but my fiance's passport is en route to it's destination and will arrive soon. Personally I think the moving out of the old team in Jan. and the interim staff doing what they can, has contributed to some of these delays. Whatever the case may be, they wore me out. I am done!

Anyway, I have cancelled my wedding (Feb. 15th) and lost most of the money for the florist, photog, etc. but I am okay with it now. We will work something out whenever (if ever) he gets here.

Ambassador LaGrange Johnson was on CVM TV touting the changes and improvements during her "reign". Follow this link for an excerpt http://www.jamaicagleaner.com/gleaner/2009...news/news4.html.

Good Day All!

Shaun's gal, I am so sorry - But if his passport is en route, why cancel the wedding? You should still have time, right? I would try calling DHL - isn't there a way to track it?

Hola KK! Que tal? Oh yeah, 4got to mention that I began my spanish class at the community college here, sooooo I will be randomly throwing in basic spanish with screwed up patois, and a dash of english!

So, you will speak Spatanglsh?

so roxie all non profit org propose the tuition reimbursement? are u qualified just by working there?

Jakeswife, tuition reimbursement is something to ask about when you interview or start negotiating - most companies that offer it have specific criteria, such as having to work there X amount of time before qualifying, or agreeing to stay for a certain period after the class is done, limits on the type of classes you can take, etc... but it's a great benefit if you can find a job with it - That's how I finished school and am doing my MS.

I am so excited I am bursting tonight.

Sounds great, JG I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hey Ladies, wha gwaan??

Hey Mrs P, good to see you back. I know you enjoyed yourself.

Okay yall i have been on the net for days and getting different resources and opinions ( thanks sus) what i am in need of is a decent priced villa in Mammee Bay or a 2 bedroom in OChi, i am taking my sons this trip and so i have to find larger accomodations and someplace that i can keep them occupied.???

Shaunsgirl, it will work out for you in the long run, i will keep you in my prayers, i know this has got to be exhausting mentally.

Honey, also try cheapcaribbean.com and hotwire - The more I search the better deals I find - I have gotten some great packages through cheapcaribbean -

I love that type of trip - Seems to be a theme for DJ and I - but, nothing beats having the quality downtime of just physically being together. I hate that return and sleeping alone, though!
