I used to do that in high school.....in bed by 8 or 9. Played sports so I wore myself out. Then, up so damn early.

Then, I got to college and it was sort of the opposite....up till the wee hours of the morning, school, and then sleeping my afternoons away to wake at 8 or 9 and go out.

Funny how life goes in those kinds of cycles.

I am sort of the same way, Lawny - If I haven't gone out, I am up at 5, even on the weekends - If I have gone out I sometimes make it later - if my mother's away, I manage to sleep till 10 or so sometimes - I swear, I think she must snore loud or talk in her sleep and wake me up!

Anyone ever have a hotel put a block charge on your credit/debit card for incidental charges you never even used? I was in this fancy hotel over the weekend and they made me give them my debit card for incidentals. I had booked through priceline ($40 for a $249/night room....woo hoo). Didn't use any incidentals at all. Hell....their incententals were more then the room was. Anyhow, I see this charge on my online banking yesterday....$180 pending. I call the hotel. They put a block on for incidentals and she sees I didn't use any. It should be off in 3 days. I'm like 3 DAYS? You blocked my bank account for something I didn't even use and now it's 3 DAYS to get it off? Ooooohhhhh....the burns me.

I have had hotels try to do that before, JG - Once in Vegas - they wanted to add a block charge of $300 in case I used the phone - #######, I have a cell, I said no way! The frustrating thing is that they immediately add the charge on, then you get some response about it takes 10 days to process the refund = Why the F**** can they put it their immediately, but not remove it as quick?

That's what I said to her, Sus. I had to pay $80 something for 2 days at the hotel and you are charging me $180 IN CASE I used the valet, room service, the phone? WTH?????? She said, I see you didn't use any of our services. So, why do I still see the charges pending on my banking????

It's like that when you return something to a store too. Burns me to no end.

JG, same has happened to me. Sometimes you have no choice, then I'm like I guess I won't be staying here then they'll reply it's too late to cancel the reservation...it's a pain in the A$$
