who is familar with fun holiday in Negril, my co-workers are about the drive me insane... I told them to google it. They put together a trip in March with 60 people at 8 different resorts...I wish them luck...now, they all asking me about where to go, what to eat, what to wear (grit teeth)

Depends on what they are looking for - Personally, I wouldn't stay there again - The rooms were okay, comfy beds, decent bathroom - But, the staff was awful - you had to beg for an extra towel, most days they didn't clean the rooms till late in the day (usually right as you were returning from the beach) - the restaurant was always out of what you tried to order - The security guard refused to let a friend of mine on the property, and told me I lie when I said I knew him for 15 years *he's not even Jamaican* - And then the morning after that incident - the maids tried to come barging in the room at 8 am to clean - didn't knock, just opened the door - Told us that we were checking out that day - Ummm.... no - we were there one more day, and they NEVER cleaned that early any other day - I am sure they figured our friend was in the hotel with us - and they gave us such a hard time, but the two women in the next room had rent a dreads in and out all week - Plus, when we were there they were doing construction on the pool and hammering at 8 am

So, if they want a clean place to stay - no interaction with locals, and to eat at other spots - fine - otherwise, many better options than FH

Sounds like a vacation from H*ll. I hate when hotels...especially EP hotels... try that mess. I stayed at Rooms on the Beach in Ochi...and I often wonder if they thought I was running a brothel in my hotel room with the number of friends that came in and out everyday. But, they never gave me a hard time or questioned the time that my guest came and went. I would stay there again. I wish they would add a small kitchenette though...maybe a hot plate and a small dorm refrigerator to keep beverages cold.

I used to be a regular at FP in Ochi...but the guard started hassling me when my sister turned him down. The funny thing though about FP is that you can drive into the parking lot of the property...and they don't care who goes into your room. But, you definitely cannot walk on the property with someone not registered in the room without them requesting $$.

Now, explain that. When we were at the Riu in Ocho for a wedding in November 2007 the guards were so rude. They never stopped the cars that were infront of us, but they demanded that we all get out and they wanted us to open the trunk. I told them to call the front desk. I was livid. Then they told me to drive the car off to the side so people can get through, I said HELL NO, let them wait. The security supervisor had to drive down to the main gate. The guards reason for waiting to search the car was that he saw us pick up some people on the roadside, LIE...what he saw was be pulling over to buy some guineap and neasberries.

I liked Rooms in Ochi - I agree with you about the fridge, though - I was PISSED at FH - I ripped the security guard a new one that night - We weren't even going to hang - we were out all day, went to see the sunset, then ran back to change and head out again - My friend is a dread, but he's from Monteserrat - he happened to be down there recording when we were there. I had no issues at FP - had to register people into the room, but didn't get asked for money - DJ's friends were all over hanging out the night we arrived -

Joke of the day:

Aliens In Jamaica

There was this couple sitting on the porch in Negril, Jamaica watching the sun go down. All of a sudden this shooting light went across the sunset.

Wife: 'A wha dat?'

Husband: 'A mus' one space ship.'

Wife: 'Spaceship???? You damn Eeediat!!'

A little while later the couple went back into the house. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and the husband opened it. There was an alien couple on the doorstep.

Alien Male: 'Good evening, we come in peace. May we rest in your dwelling while our space ship is fixed?' The husband's eyes almost popped out of his head because the female alien had a Wicked body.

Husband: 'Come een, come een. Of course you can come an' res' yuhself..' So the husband and wife fed and watered their guests and showed them to their room for the night.

Male Alien: 'Where we come from it is our tradition to swop partners when we have guests.' Well, the husband was up to it, because the female alien was seriously turning him on with her looks.

Husband: 'Well, dats ah-right wid me.'

Wife: 'Oh, I don't know bout dat, because I don't really believe in dem kind ah t'ing, yu know...'

Husband: 'Come on honey, is only a lickkle bit of fun, an nobody nuh gwine know.'

Wife: 'Well, OK den.'

The male alien takes the wife into his room, and, knowing that she wasn't 100% comfortable with the idea, he was very gentle and gave her plenty foreplay. When they got into the swing of things the male alien asked, 'would you like a bit more length?'

Wife: 'Likkle more length,? hee! hee!, a wha yuh mean? How you gwine do dat. yuh can reaaly gi me more length ?.

So the alien twists his right ear, and presto!, his willy gets longer. Well the wife was having a whale of a time when the Alien asked, 'would you like a bit more width?'

Wife: 'Width.., ah tru? Well, OK gwane den.

So the alien twists his left ear, and presto!, his willy gets fatter.

The following morning the wife wakes up with the biggest smile you can imagine on her face and walks into the living room to find her husband looking vex sitting on the sofa.

Wife: 'Hello darling, did you have a good night last night?'

Husband: 'Stuups ..... No! All night long di damn woman just deh, deh a twis up, twis up mi rass ears dem'

CVS has the sprint international cards on sale again buy one get one free

great! Thanks Lawny!

Sus, I'm stuck doing travel again and the budget is not complete...

CVS has the sprint international cards on sale again buy one get one free

Be aware, though - Sprint sold those to SDI or STI - which is a ####### card company - lots of people had issues with their cards.

really?

i got a new one and it was fine.

What kind of issues?

Like the card not working?

As long as you have the receipt you should be able to get a refund, right?

Yeah, they made those changes a while back. I never have issues with the card since it's a landline we're calling...now, cellphone are another thing.

I don't know if you can get a refund - Because when you buy the card it's activated - I use them and Ringyard - never had problems when they were sprint - but had some once they switched - like call could not be completed, but it still sucked minutes out of my card -

I think we have come to the conclusion that u win some u lose some when it comes to callin JA

Yes, so true...I use to use the phone card RED and had no problems a few years back, then it starting eating up my minutes on a landline. Ringyard works when it wants to when I call Trelawny. When Marcel was in Jamaica and I used ringyard to call his cell, I would end up talking to someone else and I had to complain.
