i am sleepy.. went dancing last night and then washed my hair.. i got up this morning and i have been vexed w/ this last 3 or 4 inches of relaxed hair so.. I CUT IT OFF.. yes, i did..

Its so much easier having one texture of hair.. now I am sitting fat w/a 4 inch curly fro LOL.. of course i am getting mixed opinions, but I love my natural self..

be blessed

Sometimes I miss my short natural curls...but A would kill me if I cut my hair again. I wanted to cut it like Keisha Cole and he pouted and told me to just get a weave when I come to see him. LMAO...why did I have to fall in love with a man that loves tall hair?

I know its a relieve, i grow mines out for about 6months then went for the big chop..... but it was so short that I work a wig for a week, until I got used to it. Now I wish it was short cause twisting everyweek takes too much time out my live.... So now I go back and forth with trying to decide if I am going to lock it....

I almost permed it on Monday cause it needed retwisting and my friend didnt want to help me and I was not in the mood to do it by myself.... but she finally gave in..... Thank God!

PA, the first time I grew out my hair it took almost 3 years. I regretted the day I ever put a relaxer in my hair, but I got tired of pressing it. My hair was always straight, it was just too much hair and lord help me if humidity hit it. Before I had a relaxer and I'd go home as soon as those doors open in Mobay I turned into a bush monkey. My grandmother would say, mine, mine a which daylight duppy you a try frighten.

I thought about pressing it but it too much pain to go thru for the minute water hits it your back to normal, can't imagine the summer time with a press...

Man, If I can have that option I would definatly lock it... I may have to take a trip and come see your stylist.... He likes it when its twisted and the first two or three days when I undo the twist and wear it wild after that he says i look pop down..... He think I should lock it but I like having options you know..

so pop down is bad?? that is my favorite style, the twist out, the wilder the better

i am the same way.. i am wayy to versatile to stick to one hairstyle, everyone knows me to be a chameleon cuz i would add some hair, some color or flip a wig in a min..

but i LOVE the locks so.. i saw this chic last night that had hers curly MAN it was beautiful..

yeah mon.. every couple of years when she get tired of her locs she just pic them out and have a supersize fro for a couple of mnths.. i guess its the method that she does them.. u should ask around, i bet somebody does them like that..

Okay, Was something deleted? Because the first statement that brought up race that I saw was the one from Jakeswife - I'm confused....

ok i just made a joke about mrslady vacation. it wasn't meant to be offensive or racist.besides it's a well known cliche' ""once you go black you can't go back""

Lawd have mercy.......CAT FIGHT. Nothing is wrong with interracial relationship. People can married anybody dem want.

All a you deh pon here a quarrell wid one another nuh look deep inna dis ting.......99% a unnu pon here couldn't get a man inna america fi marrid(married) to because most a unnu have one problem.......American man nuh love oversize/extra large women...jamaican man love dem (look pon da one deh inna da picture deh!, di big batty one....lol), plus they see this as an opportunity to step up to a better life....Cuss all you want, but dis a true...mi nuh cah. Cut down pon unnu nayming and excercise. Look how slim girls up here have men a chase dem down. Before unnu cuss one another unnu look inna yuself. America have over 150 million men, yet unnu still cant ketch one fi unnu self. and a fish outta Jamaica couple thousand.

Not a problem I have ever had, Shawn. I can see some truth in some of what you are saying though, Shawn.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

sometimes I am accomadating, but i was in this whole "wear my own hair" spell so I had a frohawk..

Morning Yardies!

Well, from my 1st impression, I'll be putting that character on IGNORE!

Ells, Shawn is a long time member - he likes to pop in and stir it up - but, occasionally he comes out with some great words of wisdom, you just have to read through -

Whatever wisdom he might come up with is trumped by ugly displays like that. You know, it takes a lot to be honest and open up and show yourself to people you don't even know and then to have some halfwit come on, use you as an example and say just plain mean, ignorant things (while themselves remaining anonymous so they don't get judged) and make judgements will tend to encourage a person to close off and keep to themselves. However, I refuse to let someone like that affect me like that even though I was kinda perturbed the more I thought about it. So wisdom, shmisdom....no nugget of wisdom that person might offer in the future will be worth more than a pile of poop to me. Like Lawny says, mi seh 'GO DEAD A BUSH'!

Mawin sus,

For the life of me I can't understand how people a carry feelings fi so long let it go and like mi seh 'go dead a bush'

Anyone that has a problem with Lawny, I have a problem with.

I feel great this morning. I slept pain free for the first time last night!!!! Hallelujah!!!! Praise GOD!

I'm SO happy to read that Jaws! I hope you get more and more nights like that. :D

mornin ms afro puff. mek sure no bird nah set roost inna u head.one time i was standing under a tree talking to a friend and a black bird relieve itself inna mi head. well mi hear sey a goodluck so mi stop freak out and wait till be go home fi wash it out.

and she a tell me seh mi a country

:rofl: But YOU GO with your bad natural self Quana! (Bad as in good of course! )

PA, the first time I grew out my hair it took almost 3 years. I regretted the day I ever put a relaxer in my hair, but I got tired of pressing it. In JA even my hair goes crazy. I use this Sunsilk de-frizz cream to keep it from going all over the place. It goes flat in that humidity but somehow manages to also frizz out and I have flat, frizzy hair!
