Its so cold here in FL

It's 9 degrees here....

Yikes! You all that live up north...I don't know how you manage that cold

I say the same thing every year LOL. Guess you kinda get used to it after awhile, especially when you wanna live close to the eastern states.

Having a garage is a big plus!

Just FYI for anyone who newly filed AOS like us and wants to travel on the AP.....Dave got delayed in Miami earlier today and had to miss his connecting flight from JA. The customs agent at the POE said the "new" rules after January 1st is that you must bring both copies of your AP with you to travel back into the States.

They wanted him to have one to obviously give to them at the POE but they also wanted him to show that he had the other copy as well. Dave was kinda surprised since he had the proper documents but the agent said they like to see that the person traveling has both copies because once they take the first one, you no longer have an AP "on your person" in case something else were to happen during your "visit" to the States.

I know it sounds kinda crazy but i guess they have a point. Not everybody who's traveling on those AP's stays put the whole time they're waiting on the AOS to go through. We never really thought about that way because if you leave the states for a significant amount of time, they can consider the AOS app. abandoned, but this is what they told Dave.

Like I said, it's not a real important issue but just figured i would mention it for anyone who is new to the process or hasn't traveled in awhile. Dave said he was only held up for an extra 15min. or so but he DID have to take the NEXT plane.

Im not sure who posted about it being cold, but up here in Michigan people seem to be immune to it, i saw three seperate people in the grocery store this evening with no coats on, and two of them had on shorts

Hey All.....I'm back at home catching up with everyone. I'm still unwinding from my birthday, the Steelers celebrations, the Inauguration stuff and from walking around New York for 4 days. LOLLLLLL

Hey, T......I'm rooting for the Steelers too. Was hooting and hollaring at the TV Sunday. Don't even think I'm rooting for Warner just cause he won us a superbowl here. HATE him.

Pittsburgh isn't known for much but football is something we do well. Looks like it'll be ring #6 for us on Feb. 1st

Things up here are good Shrewdie. We made it thru EAD/AP stuff last month and dave was able to find a part-time job to get him thru the winter. Best of luck with your journey.
