Hi everyone,

I am wondering how recent the supporting evidence, like your employers statement of how long and what type of position you hold, has to be, or should be? I know on the i-864 directions it tells you the form has to be filed within one year of having been filled out, but i don't see the same guidelines on the i-134. anyone have any ideas?

Thank you!

As recent as possible...

Did you have specific items that might be questionable?

Sorry I did not see your italicized question--I have only just received the noa1 a couple weeks ago, so I have quite awhile. the thing is, I an just graduated college, and will be starting a job within the next few weeks, but i will also be starting grad school in june, which is around when i expect the noa2, so i am wondering at what point before i quit my jobs i can ask my employers for their statements and still have it be valid for the noa2. does that make sense? im not sure the underlying reasons are important to understand, they may just complicate your understanding, but there they are.

thanks again for any help.

I gave Claudeth the latest stuff for her end of May interview.

so no one is really sure if there is an actual protocol to follow?

There is not a strict rule other than a year but the recommendation is to be as recent as is practical. Under your special circumstances, use your best judgment. Sounds like you want to get an employer letter before you give notice and then use as recent a pay stub as possible. If it weren't the PI, it would be a good idea to have a co-sponsor in the bag. May be anyway.
