What exactly do I send back to the consulate besides the signed and dated letter that I have compiled the documents for the interview...

the DS-230 Part 1

is that ALL they want sent back with packet 3? Do I send any payment at this time?

I believe that's right - just send DS-230 part 1 back to the Consulate. (I recommend to deliver it in person rather send via post office because i don't trust the postal service in Vietnam). Keep everything else ready to bring to the interview. My fiancee hasn't received the packet 3. BTW, is DS-230 blingual - English & Vietnamese? Did your fiancee answer in Vietnamese or English?

EAD: Approved June 13th 2008

EAD: Recieved Card June 18th 2008

AP: Approved June 13th 2008

AP: Received June 18th 2008

AOS:touched :Card ordered July 26th

Approval: AOS : Aug 4th

Green Card :Received : Aug 5th with Welcome Letter . 2 years Dated July 26th

Yes, I agree with the above posters, especially the part about making the trip personally, or having a trusted proxy do it.

And to add to their answers, no, I don't believe any payment is required at this time.

BUG, are you already to the turning in Packet 3 stage? Congratulations! Don't be such a stranger!
