is this going to be a bash the american woman thread?

Thats what I am wondering

No offense meant to all american ladies here

no offense taken by u but these kind of threads usually are taken to start bashing american woman by the american men. they usually blame american woman for everything. they dont tell that the reason they are the way they are is because american men have differnt standards when it comes to an american woman. what a filipeno woman gets away with...an american woman cant and then the bashing starts.

such as if an american woman wants to help her family financially the man tells her to tell her family to get off their lazy butts and get a job...if a filipeno wants to send money to their family they are saints for it and praised. the american man wont tell u that part of the story. if the american woman wants to stay home and raise her kids she is know as a free loader, but if a filipeno woman dont work and stays at home with the kids...oh how sweet she is to want to stay at home with her kids and husband.

just telling u...we american woman are not as bad as these men say but it is them who has the double standards. im not here to bash the men here but just to set the record straight.

Actually if your family was in the conditions that are in the Philippines I would think you would want to send money to them. I would support your decision. So that argument is completely weightless. Go to the Philippines and see the conditions then you will know. They are the hardest working people I have ever seen in my life. They believe in capitalism and will try to make money to live. Despite hard work many live in absolute poverty.

You are taking this chance to find criticism while at the same time claiming to be a victim of American attitudes in men. Just curious, would you say you are the typical American woman?

i am not a victim at all. but the things u r saying the reason why filipeno woman are so much better then the american woman are the same qualities the american woman have but the american men dont want to see. yes we have careers but we also take care of our families also. i worked my whole adult life but i still cooked, cleaned, ironed clothes, put my child to bed every night, went to school events, was a room mother, volentered my help at my daughters preschool, grade school...while paying bills and taking care of my husband only to come here and find out how selfish and spoiled the american woman is. how filipenos work their butts off and i guess all my working and effots were nothing to the typical american man. i worked two dang jobs, one outside the house and one in the house and all i see is the qualities in me are over looked and the same thing filipenos do are great.

poor = poor in any country. not just the philipeans. if a woman wants to help anyone less fornutate she should be able to without someone saying...tell ur lazy family get a job.

This is a public forum everyone is entitled of their own opinions and beliefs. I don't need to sensitive here. American women are not as bad as some American guys described here, they are only talking about what they experienced.. I met a lot of American woman who are wonderful and brilliant. Let this people speak in fairness.

I am still wondering though, why filipinas? I am from Phil's neighbour country and I would say that some Southeast Asian countries' ladies are not that much different with Filipina's in terms of holding family orientation value. Let's say.. Thai, Indonesian, or Malaysian. I have had this question a long ago too, it's not answered yet

well i would be glad to answer this question. First i will state the common known fact that most Filipina make the best wives! In the states this is common knowledge. Next, on a more personal note, I have also had 2 divorces from American wives. I am not saying that it was their fault but it was a difference between western and filipina value systems. Most western women that i have experienced have a value system based on being "spoiled" growing up, not to say that they are spoiled but the life they experienced is far different than the average filipina. This makes a filipina much more grateful for the hard work and things here Bana can provide as well as having a strong devotion to family and her husband. Most American men find these to be the most important qualities in a wife. Filipina are most times loyal to their husbands with little desire to have other "men experiences" clouding their minds, thinking about what else might be out there or what they might be missing. The thing I personally looked for in my wife was a good heart, strong compassion for others, and a solid belief in the marriage vows we took. I have learned that these are values most Filipina have in common with each other and I believe this makes them very desirable for a spouse. I hope this answers your question.

I have not met ONE American woman who i felt was worth marrying, and i have met lot's. Untrustworthy, spoiled, uncaring, irreverent, selfish, etc.

The feminist movement ruined the American woman IMO. They don't glory in their womanhood, in what it means to be a REAL woman like the average Filipina does.

They are too busy trying to rule over their husbands.

BUT, the men here are not the same either. For instance, the kind of young men who built hoover dam, fought WWII, led by example, are all but gone.

They have been replaced by scared, lazy, video game playing punks. Even the men who actually work are so full of fear its pathetic. Take away their cell phone, their tivo, or watch them get a flat tire on a highway and they turn into women.

This country is seriously screwed. Atheism/homosexuality/abortion/drugs/porn/greed and feminism have completely wrecked us.

The Filipina is a throwback to what an American woman used to be, and i praise God that i found one that is truely my soulmate.

Is this not the gallery of the insecure men! I'm sure these guys haven't looked into the mirror and asked why they are rejected by American women and have to find subservient women to make them feel "like a man?"

Btw...fair enough to say if you have a particular flavor. But I think these examples here prove that many of these men have serious issues that goes beyond having a companion and someone to love.

I'm trying to find someone for my ex-husband. He has had some difficulty finding anyone to date him since our divorce 5 years ago and now that I am about to remarry, he finally gave up hope that I'd come back to him.

He is a "typical southern gentleman" who loves hunting, fishing, gambling, drinking, going to church and, of course, his MOMMA! Wait, I almost forgot, he also loves his job (when he has one) and his children too.

Now, I have to be honest, he's a little over weight but I am sure that with some good old fashioned TLC, he will get those extra pounds right off.

And....I have to mention that he doesn't always like to work, you might want to have a job (a fairly good one would be helpful, he does like to shop and eBay is a favorite).

Oh, one more thing....you must be able to get along with his mother and his sister. They will always be the most important women in his life and it's important to him that you understand that. Our daughter and I learned that the hard way.

If you know anyone that would be interested, please let me know. No women in Alabama or Mississippi will date him. I guess he's going to have to explore other countries to find his soulmate.

since not all men in america are running to the philipeans for a wife i would say that not all men in the united states are thinking the same as these men here. there are alot of men who are happy with the american woman so that means there is nothing wrong with us at all.

also the men here have grown up in the same society as we have so if they call us spoiled then what are they then? not only american woman can be spoiled u know.

the reason the woman here act the way they do is because of how they were treated in the past. the woman stayed home, raised the man's kids, cooked, cleaned, ironed her husbands clothes...etc and then man was out sleeping with his secretary...secretary gets pregnant....man dumps wife for his lover...leaving wife and kids to defend themself....thus, womans rights evolved. courts started siding with the woman because she was doing her job as a wife....man broke up the marriege with cheating...woman gets alimony....man gets mad because he has to support his ex and kids....man hate american woman for that.

example 2. woman supports man while he go gets his education and then dumps wife when he gets his degree.

yes believe it or not...this is what changed the woman back in the day. they had to become self sufficient for her own sake as well as her kids.

sorry girls from philipeans....these men probably are afraid of american woman as they are a threat to his earnings where u girls dont know the rules here in the united states and they feel safe that if u divorse them u wont get half of what they make. they will threaten to send u back to the philipeans and out of fear u wont do anything to hurt them.

Actually I am American born and raised, white american from california. And I can relate to what these men see in the phillipino women. Obviously they like the traditional values, of marriage and family. And I too like that, and I also see alot of American women in crises over their identity as a woman here. We are taught about womens liberation, yet we get mad if a man wants a 'traditional'wife. We are put down if want to be stay at home moms, yet our whole family values are at threat because mom is not home and kids have way too much freedom. We put down mothers who dont get a formal education. I think its very important to get an education , for my daughters its expected. At the same time I dont want them to confuse that for being able to be a good wife. as well as I expect the man to be a good husband, wich is the provider. when you try to mix the roles of men and women and the family u get confusion. Women here are so busy trying to "one up the man" that they forget men need to feel like men. and this is just the way it is. That is why I married my husband of today . He is has family values, commitment to marriage for life, and all the things I desire. So its not about bashing 'American women" or "American men" they are both in crises in this country. But its about what u really want for ur mate.
