hello guys, this questions are for all the american men who married to a filipina

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE A FILIPINA WHEN YOU HAVE ALL THE CHANCE TO MARRY AN AMERICAN LADY AND YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY OF ALL THOSE BIG EXPENSES AND NOT TO WAIT FOR SO LONG TO BE TOGETHER AND THEN EXPERIENCE THE ADJUSTING PERIOD BECAUSE YOU HAVE DIFFERENT CULTURE AND BELIEFS? I ASK THE SAME QUESTIONS TO MY HUSBAND AND THIS WHAT HE SAID " I'VE LEARNED MY LESSONS AFTER THE 2 DIVORCES I HAD" :( THATS SO SAD BUT IS IT TRUE?.

CAN YOU PLEASE DESCRIBE US FILIPINAS TROUGH YOUR POINT OF VIEW

I've always been attracted or interested in women who look different and are from a different culture. My previous gf was Puerto Rican but lived locally. My ex-wife is Hispanic.

Just asked a friend of mine who married filippina lady.

He said if he has never went to Cebu,Philippine, he wouldnt have married Filippina lady.

He said , he 1st got to meet women at the bars and also there is no language barrier.

He felt they were so nice as an angel who took care of him like he never been treated by his ex gfs in the usa.

he said he is happy n she's happy so far.

Blessed the mixed couples.

...there is no language barrier.

That's an important point. Given that the PI was a US territory, there is that lingering American connection and Filipinos are the largest group of immigrants in the U.S. next to Mexicans.

well i would be glad to answer this question. First i will state the common known fact that most Filipina make the best wives! In the states this is common knowledge. Next, on a more personal note, I have also had 2 divorces from American wives. I am not saying that it was their fault but it was a difference between western and filipina value systems. Most western women that i have experienced have a value system based on being "spoiled" growing up, not to say that they are spoiled but the life they experienced is far different than the average filipina. This makes a filipina much more grateful for the hard work and things here Bana can provide as well as having a strong devotion to family and her husband. Most American men find these to be the most important qualities in a wife. Filipina are most times loyal to their husbands with little desire to have other "men experiences" clouding their minds, thinking about what else might be out there or what they might be missing. The thing I personally looked for in my wife was a good heart, strong compassion for others, and a solid belief in the marriage vows we took. I have learned that these are values most Filipina have in common with each other and I believe this makes them very desirable for a spouse. I hope this answers your question.

I really was not looking for anybody at the time. I was looking for a change in my life, and was looking at other plans. She found me through PenPalNet.com, where I had already flirted with a Russian, a Belarussian, and a couple crazy ladies in the US. She says she is Ilocano, but I think she is Igorota, because she cast a spell on me, and made me fall in love.

is this going to be a bash the american woman thread?

Thats what I am wondering

No offense meant to all american ladies here

no offense taken by u but these kind of threads usually are taken to start bashing american woman by the american men. they usually blame american woman for everything. they dont tell that the reason they are the way they are is because american men have differnt standards when it comes to an american woman. what a filipeno woman gets away with...an american woman cant and then the bashing starts.

such as if an american woman wants to help her family financially the man tells her to tell her family to get off their lazy butts and get a job...if a filipeno wants to send money to their family they are saints for it and praised. the american man wont tell u that part of the story. if the american woman wants to stay home and raise her kids she is know as a free loader, but if a filipeno woman dont work and stays at home with the kids...oh how sweet she is to want to stay at home with her kids and husband.

just telling u...we american woman are not as bad as these men say but it is them who has the double standards. im not here to bash the men here but just to set the record straight.

Now, who is bashing who? I think some American women have few misconceptions, as well, about American men, as well as Filipino women. Few American men go looking for "mail order brides". There is a stigma attatched, that never leaves, and has to be dealt with too often. Luckily, most people don't care, and the rest are just "curious".

I think it's more than a few, however, I don't think that there is anything necessarily wrong if a USC is looking for a foreign spouse (and on VJ we have plenty of both as well as stereotypes) as long as it's not because he or she thinks an American spouse is sub par. People are people and while culture has an influence on behavior, marrying a foreigner is no guarantee that they will behave in accordance with their culture once they've adjusted to life here in the states. So a foreign bride can easily become your next alimony payment, then the theory that foreign spouses are better flies right out the window.
