Yes, obviously not all Filipinas who are using internet cafes or even using a dating service online fit the description. I'm talking about Filipinas who spend hours, days, weeks, months, talking to many different foreigners. For them, it's a full time job.

Do you know of any? Filipinas have real jobs too.

No I dont think so. I think they are just looking for the same thing we are when we sign up on a dating site. Most filipinas especially in the provence dont have the opportunity to find someone that can afford a decent life style. Me as an American man was looking for something other than a feminist american women, I wanted a Partner that put relationship first and was loving and caring. I think the filipina is just looking for a better life with someone she can love and also have a better life.

I don't see the term 'bar girl' as a label against women. It's describing a behavior, not a person. Just like we call men who pay prostitutes, johns - that doesn't mean that the name John is bad.

Yes, my wife is a dentist from the PI. There was an internet cafe right across from her dental clinic and that's where she'd go most of the time when we wanted to see and chat with each other. She knows of girls who would spend hours upon hours there talking to several men at once. She even remembers a gay who would dress as a girl and talk to foreign men online. She said he worked at a calling center but quit because he was making more money talking to these guys online. Again, not every Filipina who uses the internet cafe is doing this, but there are many who do so and some who even make it a way of life, much like what bar girls have done.

Not all of them are, so women hanging out in the Net are not all bar girls. But let's admit it, some actually do (I have some friends who did it) and some USCs act like Joe's. Unfortunately there are no stats available regarding this.

I agree - I never said that all of Filipinas who hang out in the internet cafes are cyber bar girls, but lets be honest, there are some who do....and some of them get petitioned for a K Visa...which is both troubling and sad. I have no special sympathy for the USC's who hook up with these kinds of girls. They should know what they are getting themselve into.
