Thanks for your kind words! I'm not delusional to think that I will find THE 'perfect man' but I know one will come into my life that is perfect for me. I'm not in any rush and am happy to have a good job, wonderful kids, fulfilling hobby, great family and friends. I thought I had learned what I wanted from my first marriage (my children's father) and hurt for 16 years waiting for that man to come to his senses and just love me. We went through counseling and it was determined that he was more important than any thing or any one else and I knew it was time to let go. (he is now engaged to a sweet lady but is doing the same thing to her as he did me-poor girl) I will always shed a tear for the dreams I had for that relationship, wanting to really spend the rest of my life with one man, but I let my wants and hurts lead me to a man that was loving and affectionate but had nothing else! And I think it was too soon after the first marriage ended. (and I did NOT go searching for anyone) I am confident that I will be happy alone until I meet someone who will be my best friend, confidant and lover for the rest of my days....I won't go through this again!

There is no perfect recipe to find perfect partner. You are right, there is no "perfect partner" that requires no work & compromise afterwards. If "living together at least a year" is the correct recipe, then my parents' marriage is a recipe for disaster because they got married after 3 months of knowing each other. My dad knew my mom was the one for him after talking to her for the 1st time. I consider them lucky to find each other with compatible values & character & the willingness to work on the marriage. They have been married for 45 years. OTOH, my aunt was dating her ex for the longest and they dated longer than they were married. I will say some people are just luckier than other.

Jan 31 2005 : Sent DS 3032 to NVC

Feb 8, 2005 : NVC received DS 3032

Feb 21, 2005 : IV fee generated

Feb 25, 2005 : Sent I-864 fee bill

Feb 28, 2005 : I-864 fee bill delivered to St Louis

Mar 3, 2005 : IV fee bill received

Mar 7, 2005 : Sent IV fee bill

Mar 9, 2005 : IV fee bill delivered to St Louis

Mar 28, 2005 : I-864 fee credited against case.

April 6, 2005 : Received I-864 package

April 7, 2005 : Immigrant Visa fee credited against case.

April 11, 2005 : DS 230 is generated

Aug 12, 2005 : I-864 & DS 230 received by NVC

Sep 14, 2005 : RFE on I-864

Nov 3, 2005 : Checklist response received at NVC

Nov 25, 2005 : Case completion

Dec 9, 2005 : Police Cert requested from the Netherlands

Jan 12 2006 : Interview success - Approved !!

Jan 19 2006 : Visa & brown envelope picked up

I was an accomplished poet and didnt know it, coz it didnt get me no bread

august 2004 I-129 filed (neb)

DEC 2004 Approved

interview: SEOUL

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.
