I can hardly stand to watch the pictures. My cousin in law in Rafah got electric for an hour today and managed to get online, she and my sister in law are ok for now..el hamd el allah. But she told me that yesterday they bombed the UN RWA building and a hospital where her friends brother works, they're using the phosphorus shells which start a fire that can't be put out....

Her family was able to have some food saved and plenty of blankets but she told me that other families are not so 'fortunate'. She said they are dropping papers in the street that tells everyone to leave their homes.... but there is no where to go... not even UN, hospitals, schools.

She asked me if there isn't anything we (americans) can get our government to do.

Its a very tragic situation there. Hearing from people you know makes the reality sink in even more. Inshallah I pray she will be ok.

Thanks, I will tell her, I hope I get to talk to her sooner than later. Today I had to work during the time she has been able to come online since the attacks started, so I don't know if she was online today or not... my family in Jordan still isn't able to reach them in Gaza by telephones so I hope that gets restored soon too.
