My wife passed as well. She was in and out in about 1.5 hours. Luckily, they didn't ask to see any of the stuff the post office lost, so she's all set.

She said the guy asked where we met, how long we've been together, what hobbies we share, if I'm still working, where in America we'll be living, and what I did for work when I lived in Japan. She didn't have to show any photos or anything. Her English isn't spectacular, but she was able to understand everything, except whatever the guy made her swear to with her right hand up. She just said "yes" and it was done.

What a headache this whole process has been. I'm glad it's over.

Congrats uncle Willy.

My fiance took 3 hours to get through the process, but in the end she got her visa! I don't think her questions were as difficult as your wife's questions. She even fumbled on the information a bit because she was nervous.

It only took 7 months for her to have VISA in hand.
