I don't want them knowing what goes on in my life.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I'm kind of like AJ - I'm on a certain ladder rung and expect to be there for a while.

They should have had a rung of the ladder for 'stuck'.

I think that's what bothers people. They aren't getting raises and the prices of everyday necessities have been accelerating. There really isn't any money left over for 'gadgets' and most people are reluctant to use credit.

Representative samples. You figure out how many people you need to sample to get your error rate low and ask that many people. Just have to make sure that you do it so it's not singling out specific types of people. Usually its random digit dialing, though that does exclude those on the bottom rung without a phone. Typically it's a 95% confidence that the results aren't just random chance they showed up that way.

And to whoever asked if all Americans live this way, NO, only the stupid ones. Everyone I know buys within their means NOT on credit,
