There are people here that obviously do not understand that you can reply w/o using this option.

maybe there could be a feature written into the new program preventing complete post quotes. Maybe limiting the number of characters quoted...

I too hate it when you have to page-down through 37 pages of quotes, only to finally make it to the reply, which invariably turs out to be this:

Limiting the number of nested "quote" tags in a post would be super cool, but probably non-trivial. I say nested because it's helpful to break up a lengthy quote into chunks you can address more easily. But if limiting nested quotes could be implemented that would be awesome.

perhaps this is due to new people being unfamiliar with the board and netiquette? perhaps an explanation to the user on cutting down the amount quoted and why that is a good idea would go a long ways.

I discovered how to "nest" replies directly under the quoted passages -- simply put the quote/unquote codes and the reply flush up against each other, si man.

i've looked at the thread in question, some of the quotes are only 2-3 replies long, just the first one is extremely long and is annoying.

for those annoyed, i learned a while ago not to use the mouse wheel to go thru them - i just page down page down page down until i get to the end of it, or grab the bar on the right and pull that down.
