January '09 I-129 filers at CSC

On the NOA there's a received date and a notice date. The notice date is your NOA1 date :)

A touch basically means someone "touched" your file. Each file gets a barcode, and everytime the file moves somewhere, it gets scanned into the system. Our file got "touched" too, 2 days after the NOA1 date, my guess is that it's just a sign that they put the file into the waiting line..

thats what i figured :) hmm im gonna keep my noa1 date as 1/15, since thats what it says when i check my file online? the noa1 form is actually at my parents house, since i will be back there after the middle of march. i didn't want to use my school address.

Hello friends!!!

We are new here. We are soooo happy we found all of you.

We had our K-1 accepted January 2, 2009. I received the letter from the USCIS January 7th.

And now for the most painful question of all............... :unsure: ...... Can you all give me a guess when we should get the NOA 2????

welcome :) hopefully we will all get approved fast, but atleast this week, it looked like vsc was approving more petitions..:(

Well guys just wanted to pop in and say hello! I am in NE right now with my fiance! Not looking forward to going back on Saturday! Still waiting for the AF to drop off the furniture!! I have had 3 touches already on my case...I really wonder what happens to the cases at CSC...did they just move it from one box to another? LOL! Anyways, hope everyone is doing well!

i had one touch that i saw after receiving my noa1 in the mail, so i imagine i had a couple before that too. nice to see you back here :) have fun with your fiance!

How do you know when your petition has been "touched"??

I signed up to receive notifications from the website-- will they email me if my petition is "touched" -- and what exactly does that mean??

4/28/09 DOT/NVC sent petition/package to US Embassy in Sydney (via DHL)

5/04/09 Packet 3 sent from US Consulate in Sydney (sent via email)

5/22/09 Sent Packet 3 to US Consulate in Sydney

6/03/09 Received Checklist for intervew date ("Packet 4") -- interview scheduled for June 23rd!!!

How do you know when your petition has been "touched"??

I don't believe they will email you when your case is touched, you just have to logon to your case status online and the date it was last updated is your "touch". I had two extra touches after the NOA1, but I believe that was due to the change of address for the petition. The date the change of address was dated was the 21st and the 22nd is when they mailed it..hence the two touches. Hope this helps.
