DOS confirmed that London finally reviewed our documents...but no interview yet. And unfortunately, it looks like a May interview date is not going to happen, which means my fiance won't get to see my graduation :( The lady at DOS said London has already scheduled the May interviews. :(

Hows everyone else doing?

yeah, i can understand,n but at the same time you are sure that the interview will be scheduled for june. and depends on your date of graduation, why not him making a quick trip to usa to see your graduation?

i went to usa, in april after the noa 2 and at the port of entry i had no questions, no difficulties. I don't know if ihave been lucky or not, or if it's bc of their ESTA thing. but anyway i brought all my papers just in case.

and the good thing is that you will be able anyway to get married "on time".

Marriage: 01-26-2032

homesick: 01-30-2032

Divorce: 10-13-2032

you will stay married for 290 days.

i would not risk POE while waiting for an interview. Not to mention the cost. Also,by the time of my graduation he will have no ties the UK. So if he gets questioned he'd be turned back, and there is NO way i'm risking creating complications at the interview.

We are hoping that if we get a June interview we can call at reschedule it for May, if there are cancellations or something.

Depends on the country. My fiance is the UK citizen, and he had to do the ds-157, per UK rules. Find out for France?

I am hand carrying the stuff I have up to my SO this weekend. We completed the Packet 3 checklist collaboratively and now I'm just taking my portion to her.

As for the NVC number, it is not on the NOA 2 as stated above. You have to contact NVC, get an operator on the line, give them the USCIS case number (from the NOA 1 or NOA 2), and have them give you the Department of State (DOS) Consulate-Specific Case Number. For the Vancouver Consulate these start with VAC... Alternately, the NVC number is also on the letter the USC gets from NVC stating that they have received the packet and will be sending it onto the consulate within 10 days...

Hope that helps.

I think Heather meant the NVC PHONE number is on the NOA2..you then call NVC to get the New case number, which is not for NVC but for the Embassy....
