You could maybe do that, or, the USC could call DOS here in the States and I think find out that way as well..

Try finding timelines from France and see how long it took to recieve Packet 3?

Japan doesn't really have much of a packet 3 that they want returned; just have to fill out the DS-230 and fax it back to them. Everything else, they want it at the interview.

So we faxed back the DS-230, and Chiaki scheduled her Medical for 4/30 ($450!). Around the same day, she will be visiting the Police office and the town hall place to get her koseki (family record/birth certificate type thing).

So, we will probably put in our request for interview around 5/1, and she wants to have the interview around the middle of June. I'll get the rest of my side finished by then (copy of NOA2, affidavit stuff sent to her) and we should be done around the middle of June, more than ready for her entry in August.

Woo!

rite.

in fact, it took for some case i have checked lately, 10 to 15 days. I am reaching the 15 days now. that's why I am thinking to try to reach them. Or my fiancé. so apparently my fiancé is in better to do it.

and i don't know what is DOS?

any they made a mistake on my birthday which is now also at the us embassy...now i am not born on the 14th...but on the 15th. Go figure...one day younger! :P apparently it bothered them that I was born on valentine's day.;). maybe they thought it was a joke..a frenchy born on that day was a way too cliché to be real. .and when i called the NVC, and they said my birthday date was wrong! :o and i doubled check on all the forms we send...no mistake there,

and i said "as far as i know, i know where i am born..." :(

anyway, they couldn't correct it, the petition was already on its way when they received a copy of my passport via email thanks to my fiancé, and took it into consideration. So I or my fiancé have to get it corrected asap, i guess, too.

and well, i am happpy for you, who are almost at the end of the tunnel!

Department of State Visa Specialist will be able to tell you if your Packet 3 has been sent out to you by the consulate in France, you just need your France case number. Call this # 1-202-663-1225, there are a bunch of menu options that you are forced to listen to before you can speak to an operator, and at last press 0 to speak with a visa specialist. I called DOS to find out if VAC had sent out an (Packet 4) interview letter, now I am just waiting patiently for the mail to come!LOL! Also found out the interview date.

Hope you will be able to find out soon where your Packet 3 is!

It appears things are moving along swimmingly for some if not most in our cohort, despite the attempts by USCIS and DOS to derail individual processes.

Just an update from our situation, we have an interview date: June 9th at 1PM...

In the words of my better half, "YEEEEHA!"

Her medical is scheduled and the wedding date is set. Game on, full speed ahead!

ROLF!

I know i have the same worry. I re-read, and there is always some minor things to correct...if not major, like forgetting the place of birth. :hehe:

I don't think I am trully better.

didn't you ask him to send the form he filed so that you can check if everything is ok with a abrand new eye?

I'll bet that it mostly makes their job easier to be dealing with people who are informed...

Just think how much some people would be calling customer service if they had to ask ALL their questions to them instead of just the ones that don't get answered on VJ?
