I'm not sure how you contact them, but unfortunately I don't think they tell you much unless its past their posted processing time of 6 months. You could try though... I *think* I may have seen CSC's actual phone number (not customer service, but an actual phone number to CSC) in the 6+ month thread. I'll see if I can find that for you... The other option is that you may have actually been approved but your case just wasn't updated online...I think I am one of the ONLY ones who got my approval online of the January filers. That was Monday, and I don't have the paper NOA2 yet. There haven't been ANY approvals posted that are after mine, but I highly doubt thats accurate. Yours may just be coming in the mail!

Don't worry guys, my NOA1 is even before you guys and I haven't gotten anything yet!

Hopefully we'll see the changes online/in the mail soon, maybe they are doing them in weekly batches, because it seems like everyone in this thread got their NOA2 around the same day!

We gotta stick together and get through this somehow :crying:

For what it's worth, it took CSC two days to get our NOA2 in the mail. The date on the NOA2 was 3/18/09, but the postmark wasn't until the 20th. It took 5 more days to get to us... I know it may sound trite coming from somebody with an approval, but you have no idea whether you've already been approved... Try not to drive yourselves nuts and keep things in perspective, especially knowing that CSC is on pace to work through their entire backlog soon... Besides, your case is being handled by CSC, which has about half the volume of VSC, poor souls...

It may help to look at the number of approvals per month relative to the total number of filers by playing with the drop-downs on the screen. December and January had far fewer filers than a typical month and it does appear that total filings (as tracked by proportion of VJers on Igor's) is going down. Anyhow, my point is that the top 15 on Igor's list may not be capturing progress made on a daily basis, given the fact that they aren't being really consistent with electronic notifications.

^^ pretty much what I said before. There are some people not posting in here for you to see them get their NOA's but looking at Igor's the amount of Jan and Feb approvals have both gone up in the last 2 days (though feb a little slower). The last 15 show the last 15 approval dates from CSC, so while no one may have recieved theirs yet for post 23rd (maybe they cant see the approval online and have to wait to get it in the mail) there are still others from prior to those top 15 dates which are updating, or the number wouldnt be growing for approvals done. Just hold in there, yours might be one that doesnt show the approval and maybe you will get the notice in hand the beginning of next week :D

Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I'm headed out today and this weekend to check out wedding venues, and not being able to nail down a date is beyond frustrating.... also not having a fiance to do this planning with..... even more frustrating!

Anyways, guess I'll just try to be patient.

Random-- is anyone from Seattle on here?

I definately understand that, only I'm the non-USC, so I can't look at venues cept online. We've decided to do our big wedding next year so that I have time to plan for something half decent. And of course everyone keeps asking when the wedding is and if we have set a date...which we have, but then it turns into a big long explination of why we are getting married twice lol. I've had a few odd looks when I try to explain, because they are like....your getting married twice? Planning a divorce already? thats why its so nice to have this site, to talk to people who actually understand.

Got my NOA2 in the mail today!!! No changes at all on the website, still says pending.

About 68 days total between NOA1 date and NOA2 date (which is 3/24, I got the notice in the mail today, 3/27).

A pleasant surprise, I was worried I might be in for a wait! Good luck to the rest of you January filers still waiting!!!

Congrats Klester. I got mine under the same circumstances this week as well. The USCIS online system is definitely useless, as if we needed more proof. Good luck to you and yours!

Congrats Klester and RSN!!

omedetou klester :) congrats RSN!!

I'm still waiting on paper NOA2...getting kinda freaked out, as my paper NOA1 only took three (from the postmark date) days to arrive! I'm hoping they didn't update my case by accident or something! I know I'm just being crazy..hopefully by the end of next week the NOA2 will come.

They didn't update my online status, however I got the paper notice 1 week ago.

I keep calling the automated NVC phone number, the recording says they don't have any record of my case. I am getting worried.

I actually did get on online update, and I know my case is approved, but I really want the paper copy. it would make me feel better.

For NVC, you can't use the automated system. You have to press 5 to talk to a real person to find out if your case is there.
