Hi guys,

my fiance received a better job offer and they want him to start Wednesday (21st). My interview is set for the 27th, and I already have all the paperwork (letter of employer, I 134) of the job he is currently at. My problem is we def wont have time to replace all the documents by the 27th. The old documents were valid at the time of their preparation (beginning of January). I tried to ask him if he can ask the new employer to start on the 28th, but they need him for a project that has to start by Jan 26, so that doesnt work. We also have a cosponsor so i am not really worried about that, but more about the validity of the I134 he sent me. Anyone ever been in the same situation?

The I-134 remains valid. In this economy, lots of people are changing jobs and also losing them. Too bad he can't be there for the interview, but that's the kind of thing that happens when it's important to hold on to whatever job you have.

They are mostly concerned with income pattern and that the sponsor can support the prospective immigrant, the I-134 is valid at the time it was signed so I would use it.

You can later provide updated employment information when adjusting status in the USA when sponsor provides an I-864.
