It is going to take a few days to transfer your case to the National Visa Center (NVC)....It took our case about 4 days to show up in the AVR (automated voice response). You just keep calling the AVR 1-603-334-0700...use your USCIS case number. Soon the AVR will say your case is received & they assign you an NVC case number. Start there...there is so much to follow, but start there. :) Feel free to ask all the questions you want! We were at NVC about 2 months!

I am just really surprised that there are still some jan transfers left to get approval. I feel really strongly that it seems unfair.

I was really surprised that our approval came so fast and therefore wasn't prepared with getting the beneficiary's original birth certificate and police report in a timely manner. I had to wait 10 days at nvc while waiting for the PCC to be issued and the package with his original to be mailed. That was definitely frustrating and if you all prepare then you can avoid that. Best to focus on what you have the power to effect.

If you are prepared you CAN get through NVC in 15-20 days! And then interviews will be scheduled. I'm sure it must be frustrating, but maybe they are doing your AP now? I've seen names being checked in different places recently as opposed to being checked after the interview. So just try to remain optimistic.... and I would definitely prepare for asking for a service request and sending the official request for inquiry with signed release form to your local representative. This will also help you at the consular level.... Best wishes to all.

Could be that they are taking longer on the cases where the couple has been married longer than 2 years. I think these don't have the removing of conditions or something so they might be looking at those a little differently ..not sure.

That does seem logical. However, I think they still have to wait for 3 years as a resident (I'm not clear on if it's just 3 years married to USC or 3 years living in US) until being able to apply for naturalization so it shouldn't make so much of a difference to them.

I swear sometimes I just think there are some really lazy workers with files piled all over their desks... it's horrible to imagine but... there seems to be no reasoning behind some cases speed and others sloth.

I think its more of an issue that they are very limited on experienced adjudicators, so if a newbie finds something he/she is questioning or doesn't know the answer to and cannot simply decide the case in 15 minutes of looking at the file, it gets sent to an experienced adjudicator and there is the pile-up since there are so few with lots of experience who can look at a more complicated case.

Thats my guess anyway.

SSB, thanks for your post.

Are there any more of us who applied back in OCt/NOv and still no NOA2 ? would love to hear or may be it is that we start a new thread.

LUVTECHWifey, Thanks. You know it is easier said but harder to do. I am sure it was hell waiting for you for 4 months, Think about us. we are waiting alomost twice your time.

Those of us that are still waiting, our situation is like an animal in a cage. when put in a cage, the Animal would do all that he can to free himself up, and at the end , would accept his fate as it is and expect someone would throw a piece of meat or whatever. and every time the mere sound of footsteps makes him look around for something, anything, whatever it is.

At the end, I do not think those who went thorugh the process in 4 months, with so many touches, would understand our situation and Agonies. This is not a site to argue or fight or for any negative talks. Having said that, I still wait for whatever news they can give US.

Thank you
