Hi All,

I am reposting again. I am sorry, I am new to the whole immigration process...starting to read all threads.. I am panicing now and see how to answer question 14 in I-130 for my husband. My current status is Green card and awaiting another couple of months to apply for my citizenship.

I really really appreciate your help.

14. If you are a lawful permanent resident alien, complete the following:

Date and place for admission for adjustment to lawful permanent residence and class of admission.

2nd question:

22.Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status.

My husband is not in US. So should I be putting the nearest US consulate details abroad.

Thanks

Jane

Yes, you can just put the Consulate name in. However, I think if I were you, I'd wait until you were a citizen to file. No action is going to be taken on the petition until you request it be upgraded after you become a citizen. I just don't see an advantage in filing now if you'll be a citizen soon.

The answer is specific to you. Indicate the date and place you were admitted to the USA just prior to being granted permanent resident status. Indicate the visa category or other status under which you were admitted. If you wait until you are a citizen to file, you would not answer as a lawful permanent resident. Instead you would provide citizenship information.
