Just my 2 cents....

I did read few of our VJers friends sending an email for the DS3023- Choice of Agent. NVC is taking at least 7-14 days to respond to this request. I originally planned to email them, but since I got the feeling they are backed up, I sent them a trial email (not the DS3023, it has not generated yet)... this is my 14th day, but still no word from them. I have scanned an original document, which my husband signed and sent back to me. The barcode I generated following James' shortcut is already attached on the form, just waiting for the generated automated message to tell me so, and this DS3032 will be mailed next-day air. I can't take any chances, it's the BEST route for me right now.

I actually posted my concern on another thread... Good luck friends!

NVC will accept choice of agent email, if you email them after NVC generates choice of agent (DS 3032). If you email them before it is generated, then it will be ignored.

Are you sure about that? My understanding and it could be wrong is that once the Case number is generated you can send in the DS3032 by e-mail. If you wait till they generate the DS3032 I don't think you would know until you got it in the mail.

I heard now that you have to attach the ds3032 form signed by beneficiary for them to accept it. They no longer accept the standard unsigned template... is this true?

See "About Me" for full timeline.

Having a case # DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE READY TO ACCEPT YOUR 3032!!! You have to wait for them to send you an e-mail ( I hope y'all have called and given your e-mail addresses) that they have generated the 3032 and AOS fee bill!!! If you send them stuff BEFORE they are ready to receive it, IT WILL BE IGNORED!!! and that would be a big waste of time as you would not know it was ignored until after a while that it was not processed!!!

This is certainly true when one is opting in for NVC Electronic Processing ( for Montreal, Guangzhou, and one other embassy ) but I'd be interested to know 'where' you heard this from?

Warmest Regards...

It was on a thread awhile back, but i couldn't find where..

it's soo awesome it took them less than a week of receiving my i130 to have their automated message say they have sent out 3032 to my wife and sent me 3032 and AOS packets..

I figure I'll use the template as shown on the wikis, and attach the signed 3032 with the barcode pasted on it. Should be safe either way.

See "About Me" for full timeline.
