I just got this yesterday. Does that mean they sent Naresh a letter with his interview date ?

On January 15, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

It means it will get passed on to the NVC then to the embassy/consulate.

After that - he will get his package.

Check the K-1 Flow Chart K-1 FlowChart - it has all the steps on what will happen.

You will have to do some things yourself.

Congrats!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Ok we have a Lawyer so I guess he will send us all the things we need to fill out. Most of the things on list we already sent to our lawyer. G325A, I 129F, decloration, statements, proof of meeting, pix, birth certs, my divorce papers ect... all that we already sent to our lawyer.

The embassy/consulate will send your beneficiary the forms he will need to fill out. (samples are provided on this site).

You will also need to do an I-134 and send that.

Also, an updated letter of intent is recommended.

And, more evidence since you sent your package of the ongoing relationship.

Did you make a complete copy of your I-129f package? send that also.

Copy of the NOA-2

That will make the next process go easier.

Thanks so much for the repsonse. I appreciate it. I was under the impression our lawyer would handle all that. If not I wonder what we paid him for lol ...

Have a great day !!!

Thanks again !

Probably the lawyer will ask for that - but take a moment to read the guides here on the site - then call your lawyer and see what is up.

Better to be armed in a knife fight

You would be surprised how many people do this without a lawyer (i'm one of them)
