Hello

I filed in early November to CSC, and received NOA 2 weeks after.

It's been two months since NOA, but did not receive ASC appointment letter yet.

I searched this forum for help, but different people had different opinions. I'm confused.

Should I wait little longer or should I make an infopass appointment?

I don't want to call first since some people posted that they were told to wait another 45 days for nothing.

Nearest service center is 150 miles away, so I need to take a day off for the appointment. And I'm not sure if it is worth going.

Do service centers usually allow people to do biometrics on the day of infopass appointment as some people posted?

Anyone who also received NOA in November still waiting for biometrics appointment?

I need your advice!

Thank you.

Sorry that I can't advice something here, but what is very strange is that you submitted your documents to CSC and that place is veery fast.

I would make an infopass appointment and check into it. California is moving quickly so perhaps the Infopass might just 'trigger' the biometrics, or you might find out a letter was sent and you didn't get it, in which case you might be able to get it done at the same time. If it were VSC I would say wait; since it is CSC I say make that appointment. Good luck.

Hello - We are also going through the CSC and it took a while for my husband to get his biometrics, we sent our package in Sept and didn't get the bio letter until Dec. I didn't know if we should do an info pass or just wait... but it finally came. In fact a few people that sent thier packets in around the same time had the same wait time... I was worried and posted about it back then too.

it couldn't hurt doing and infopass if you are really worried about it, or maybe call, since your office is so far away.

Thank you. I just made appointment for next Friday.

There was no option for case like mine so I chose

"You need Service on a case that has already been filed" and

"Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing."

Is this okay or do I need to choose other options?

Even these little things make me worry now :(

You should be fine. Sometimes there is not an 'exact' option listed on the set-up so you take what is closest to what you need. Good luck.

Call USCIS and tell them it's been over 30 days since you filed and no biometrics appointment letter. They will do a Service request for your appointment.

Been there, Done that!

  • 2 weeks later...

I went to infopass appointment on Friday, and I spoke with the officer for less than 5 minutes.

When I explained my situation, she gave me a weird look without even looking up on the computer and said "You just filed in November, and your green card is good for another year with this letter"

I mentioned that others who filed later than me got their biometrics done already and she said it depends on the case.

I asked her if she could check the system for the status of the biometrics letter and she told me that it was never sent out and I should just wait.

I politely asked if I can get the biometrics done today or sometime soon, but she said no.

At this point I realized that she was not willing to help me much, so I just asked her when I will be getting the letter and she said "Give it a month or two." I asked her "30 days or 60 days?" and she just told me to set up another infopass appointment after a month.

I do not think she will do anything to set up an biometrics appointment for me.

Should I try calling on Monday?

Hi sleepy,

Yeah, thats common problem with the Infopass "officers". I'm pretty sure that the can help searching on the computers or even making some phone calls (like in my case when I was trying to get my travel permit). I don't know if the office is too far from your home but believe me If I'm you I will do another Infopass right now and cross your fingers that another officer help you this time. Just said that you went to the office sometime ago but still no information about your Biometrics.

Good luck.

sorry to hear that.

there is my story about biometric but AOS not I 751 .

back to my AOS , i sent out my AOS and after a month i didn't received my biometric , and then i make appointment for info pass and i went to local office and then the officer was not helping like yours . she told me i have to wait another month and then if i didn't receive anything come back. but after only 1 week i make anther info pass and i went to local office and then i found supervisor she was very helpful and she check in her system and then she found nothing and then she went into side to check and then she bring me my biometric letter and she was told that I'm lucky , if i wasn't came that day i will be denied due to missing appointment> I would advise you to make another infopass appointment and check out your case again.

Good luck

Thank you all.

Since it is nearly impossible to take another day off for infopass appointment(takes 6 hours roundtrip) in near future, I called the toll free number as some have advised.

I was told that I should be getting a letter within 45 days, if not I should call them back.

Hope the letter will show up in my mailbox soon!
