I'm not sure why, but USEM is very picky when it comes to co-sponsor. If you try the co-sponsor route, your co-sponsor best have a very good income. I know they say the income have only to be the minimum, but with co-sponsor it best be well above minimum if they'll even consider it. USEM is not completely clear on how they view co-sponsor.

With four in the household the poverty level is $26,500 so he may need a co-sponsor. I have seen two different posts about co-sponsors in Manila. One said it was ok and another said it wasn't so the suspense about co-sponsors in Manila still continues.

Employer letters help as well, showing his continued employment, and his expected salary for 2009.

K1 consponsor in Manila is iffy. Does not seem to be a problem with students. However, would be better to be above with supplemental income than use a cosponsor. Manila seems to set these standards on a case by case basis!!!!
