EAD production Ordered!!!

Excited EAD production has been ordered!!! So excited. I actually called USCIS today for an update of the process and the lady told me my EAD would be apporved probably in February.... and I just checked my email and there it was... very happy and suprised.

Mailed my application November 12, 2008. Am sure you will be hearing from them soon. They say to give it 90 days but it gets approved usually before the 90 day timeline. Good luck

If you submitted your application on December 22nd, your 90th day is March 22nd. If you phone them up before that date, you won't find them very helpful because they'll just say that you're 'within the target timeframe'. On March 23rd if you still haven't been approved for your EAD, phone them up and ask that they make a 'service request'. If that doesn't get you anywhere, there are other options open to you, including getting assistance from your local congressional rep and the CIS Ombudsman. How to go about getting in touch with these groups is well documented on the forum.

My congressman's office did it for me in the end. In the end it took over four months to get mine (see below) but I got it eventually Hopefully yours will arrive in timeframe without any complications...

In addition for this one...you can ask for service request for your EAD if it's been filed more than 75 days from the date of filing.

" If your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, has been pending longer than 75 days since you filed and you have not received a request for evidence or missed a scheduled appointment, call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please note: The time between the mailing of a request for evidence and receipt of your response by USCIS does not count towards the 75 days. A missed appointment restarts this 75-day period.

You may want to check this Web site further for any notices (e.g., news releases, Updates, etc.) that address your type of case.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever got a successful outcome from one of these 75-day service requests? I placed one on what by my count was day 99 but by their count was something like day 80 (). I got a letter in the mail a week later telling me that until 90 days had passed, they were unable to help

I placed a service request on Jan 28 2009 but my 75 days is not due yet until Jan 30, 2009. My EAD was approved on Feb 3, '09. it's worthy!
