I just received an AP today with the issue date of 1/7/2009. the problem is that I think the other date in the middle of the document is incorrect since it reads 1/6/2008. Now, I need some advise as to what should I do if the date in the middle is in fact wrong.

well first off, can anyone confirm whether the 1/6/2008 date is wrong? and should it instead be 1/6/2010?

Second, if it is incorrect, I feel like it would be considered a minor error since the date of issue is correct and normally the AP should be valid for one year.

So I don't think the border officer at the airport would deny my entry to the US because the date in the middle (i assume the expiration date) is wrong.

Does anyone think i should change the date in the middle? if so, how?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't have anything to say but to set up an infopass appt.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

the date that i think is incorrect is the date following "prior to " .. again the issuing date is correct with 1/6/2009. the second date is I think wrong because it says 1/5/2008. I have a feeling it should be instead 1/5/2010.

Getting an infopass is an option. However, I really don't want to apply for another AP which takes more time and mess up my upcoming travel plan in february. Any one knows how long it takes to fix an error on AP?

thanks again.

I think Infopass is your only option. They can issue AP's fairly quickly in the case of family emergencies - so I'm sure they can fix obvious mistakes quickly.

Scary that their system allows to end date to be printed before the start date

Were you able to solve your AP issue? I have the similar issue where they screwed my date as well. The date reads "08/09/199B0" in my Ap. what kind of data is that?

I am travelling to India in 2 weeks and i just find this out. I set up a info pass appointment and I don’t know how they will solve my problem. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know.

Were you able to solve your issue on time? My wife's AP has the same problem. I have sent it to USCIS again with a cover letter explaining the issue. She needs to travel in 4 wks. Appreciate any information you can provide.

Thanks!
