Has anyone had any problems submitting only pages 1, 3 & 5 of the I-693 for AOS?

Also, the doctor tried to convince me to give my husband another physical because he says that those who come in just wanting supplemental vaccinations always come back to get the full physical because USCIS required it. Maybe it's a time issue due to the processing delay with USCIS. My husband had his full physical in August last year so maybe his exam will expire by the time they process his file.

Any opinions on this?

I think the doctor is right, given the time element. Why not file a complete form with the USCIS? The more complete, the better.

That's what you're supposed to do coming from a K1. The problems people have had is finding a Civil Surgeon who will fill out just those parts of the I-693 without doing the whole medical over. The time issue shouldn't matter unless your medical given in August had some problems like TB or some other medical condition that was supposed to be followed up on or treated. If the process of adjudication ran a year past your medical, then they might want newer medical info on the previous noted problem. Otherwise you're supposed to be okay without redoing a medical. That's what I read in a procedural guide for AOS. The new I-693 form just went into effect summer 2008, so many falling into the change haven't reached AOS approval yet and there's not alot of guidance as to what will happen. I personally would go with only the parts 1,3,5.

Thank you both for your responses. I will continue with just submitting pages 1, 3 & 5.

Another question: If the AOS gets delayed due to needing a new medical, what are the drawbacks to having to wait longer? He'll already have is work permit and advance parole so does it matter if it takes longer to get the greencard? The only thing that would be an issue that I can think of is getting a driver's license. He only had his permit, but it expired along with his I-94. Is there anything else I'm overlooking?
