when do they mail your visa and how long will it take

to toronto from montreal.

It would be a long day but I'd be driving or taking the train back to Montreal on Monday to get it.

Red, it's going to be tough figuring out when you'll get the Xpresspost envelope. If your interview is on Friday, I would assume they'll send out your passport on Monday. I've sent things by Xpresspost within Ontario and within Quebec, and usually they get there the next day. I have had no experience sending between the two provinces, though. :unsure:

For return addresses in Ontario, they say you may use the "Regional" Xpresspost. They also require you to mark the label "signature required".

As girl 37 said, she'd be driving or taking the train back to Montreal if she were in your shoes. If you choose to come back but not drive, you can also take the bus. It will take 7 hours and is a bit cheaper than the train. If you get your tickets 14 days in advance, you'd only pay around $ 90.00 for a return ticket. But then you'd have to spend 14 hours in total on bus. :( You'd also need to leave Toronto at 7:30 in the morning. :wacko:

no way am I doing 2 trips

might stay for 4 nights but def not 2 trips.

:D I just got reply from montreal consultant. They said "Police certificates are valid for 1 year". Is there someone who can tell me why someone said it is valid in half of year??? I am just wondering :blush:

If they said it's valid for one year, then you're fine. I just mentioned the 6 months because when I asked the RCMP (Montreal) how long theirs was valid for, they said 6 months. But I've read somewhere here that the length of validity of the certificates can vary from depending on where you get it.
