my question is do london AP generally take less time then other countries or are a;; AP processed at a central location i.e dos, uscis etc at time received.

Depends on what country you are originally from. If originally from London, yes, it usually does take less time. . .

im originally from egypt but been here since i was 5 years and here over 20 years is that still the same

Doesn't matter how long he's been in the UK, the Egypt AP is what you have to compare to. . .my hubby was from Pakistan. . .Canadian citizen for years and years. . .still had 7 months of AP in Pakistan from his case filed in Canada.

You probably won't have anything that long, but it is not going to be as short as a native UK Citizen.

The reason is mostly name based.

The DS-3025 will show this OP has lived in the UK since childhood. That is different than living a country 'years and years'.

I hope the OP comes back and lets us know if he is placed on AP. He may be.

The most recent reported AP for a Pakistani who filed through London was Linkin. It was less than one month.

I am in agreement with you rebeccajo. . .I don't think it will be as long as processing direct from Egypt, but if he's in AP for a name check they will follow the same procedures.

The place where he is lucky is that since he's been in the UK for over 20 years, it will be much easier to rule out connections to people with his same name who have not been in the UK as long or at all.

I did misread what he said about going to the UK at age 5.

rebecajo and emt10c thanx for advise but it appears i was in ap for few hours or not at all bcos embassy called me to send passport the same day courier delivered my police report to embasy. (i say a few hours bcos i know ap does not start untill u cleared the 221g issue, on this instance was police report) howeve secure mail courier is coming to pick up my passport 2day. I will let u know wat happens. Thank you again for ur valuable advise.

thank you im not celebrating untill i receive the actul visa, i heard horror stories of passport returned without visa and being told another ap after already being on ap for a year. I consider myself the luckiest person here.

can't be possible to put on another ap as you have already cleared from one.........embassy only ask for the passport to be send my sms courier once they are ready to give you actuall visa........embassy doesnt have any problem to continue your AP process unless they get the clearence but i can say they don't normally put ppl on second ap...........

we just called DOS and they said visa has been issued.

LINKIN they can do anything they want and ive seen a few cases on vj where that happened also on another immigration forum a guy has been on AP for 5 years and asked to send passport last month, then passport was sent back to him without a visa, when he enquired about it he was told another ap.
