Wow, check out that photo

US Airways Plane Crash

Latest engines from GE and Pratt & Whitney have to pass a chicken test, where dead chickens are tossed into the turbines. If the turbines fail, have to try again. Boeing 767 is suppose to have them. Much prefer a private aircraft, these things have a better than 10:1 glide ratio, These airline planes are less than unity, like to come straight down with very heavy wing loading, that done for economy. Things live on thrust, would say those people are very fortunate to land in the river.

Nothing more just saw it on the news. Will put something up when they put up the pics.

Hmmm...they just said near 42nd St...#######...just floating in the water

Ok now it's starting to sink

I can sort of see it from my office window, but there's a building blocking the view.

The captain is a former Air Force pilot. Yayyyyy!!!!!!!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Apparently the pilot runs his own safety consulting firm.... Sounds like the most experienced man for the situation happened to be in the right (wrong) situation

The pilot who guided a crippled US Airways jetliner safely into the Hudson River - saving all 155 people aboard - became an instant hero Thursday, with accolades from the mayor and governor and a fan club online. The pilot of Flight 1549 was Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, 57, of Danville, Calif., an official familiar with the accident told The Associated Press. Sullenberger is a former fighter pilot who runs a safety consulting firm in addition to flying commercial aircraft.

Right on
