Congrat!!!!!!

I just passed my interview on 01/13/09 and got approved in Cleveland! Yes, baby! But I now realized that I didn't get any "temporary evidence" regarding my greencard approval... makes me feel a little bit worried. Just wondering.. did you get any kind of "approval note" after the interview?

It has been 2 days since then and I didin't receive CRIS Email regarding welcome or card production ordered, etc info yet. Also, my online status hasn't been updated yet - it still shows that my I-485 & I-130 is pending. Is that "normal"? Hope you can give me some clue. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations!! Well from what I have seen it takes a bit for the website to update! And it generally takes 4-6 weeks to receive the card, of course he "winked" at me and whispere "4-5 days" So I won't really know till I get it.

Atlanta Interview Review:

January 15, 2009 10:00AM

So after much nagging the and not much sleep the night before we left an hour early, it surprisingly only took 15 minutes. The Security line was HUGE so we got through and followed the information on the Interview notice to go to the 3rd floor. We waited for about 45 minutes for our name to be called and in the meantime started talking to the couple behind us and she said that we had to check in on the second floor. I PANICKED BAD! It was already 10 past 10 and I knew our name would be called. I flipped out so my husband and I went downstairs stated our case; she didn’t do anything except to tell us to go back upstairs. We go back up 2 minutes later and Guess what? Our names had been called while we left to go “Check in”! I was pissed off! Typical Immigration never giving you the right information and you are the one hurt for it.

So make sure you ask the security office where to go when you come in and he checks your notice.

Ok, so the IO comes out with a huge smile and was just the most pleasant man in the world. I walk in and there is this HUGE stack of papers (Both of my RFE Evidence) faced towards my chair. He laughed at my husband and said sarcastically “You sure you want to be married to her” LOL Told me he didn’t have time to shred that much paper so If I could kindly take that back with me. 

He started asking for all my papers and before he could finish I had them all there, the EAD, AP, Driver License, passport.

He asked my Husband his name, address, SSN. Super informal, My husband didn’t know the name of my birth mother (She left my dad when I was 1 I have never had contact with her) so I explained, asked him my Dad’s name (he got that wrong as well) “Men” I rolled my eyes and he laughed. Then asked me the same. Then flips through and him and my husband are talking about if he does these interviews does it get monotonous yadda yadda. He asks if we have kids and I joke yes my dogs…

He picks up the Photo Album looks through there. Then puts all my papers in a drawer and asks me if I am planning to leave the US in the next 4 weeks, so I said maybe. He then tells me it will be sent in 4-6 weeks (And winked at us while saying this and mouthed 4-5 days). Hubby asked about the stamp and they have changed their system so that the IO’s now have control putting the correct information on the Green Card that get electronically sent out to production. Which is Awesome!!!!???

Oh, at the end he goes “ Well I would go through the information for the Removal proceedings, but something tells me you already know all that” ! Shook my Hubbys had and Have a GOOD DAY!

Cogratulations!!!!

Congrats Steph!

I rarely come back but I wanted to see how your case turns out. What does the last sentence mean? The same IO goes through the documents you send in for Removal of Conditions?

Whoops, nevermind. I just realized he meant you already know what the Removal of Conditions procedure is about! lol

Congrats Steph, it's amazing how your life gets back to normal once this is all done!

I'm planning on going to California with the wifey in Summer. I haven't even had a chance to use my green card, I've been bogged down with school.

Yep that is it.

There is a huge free parking lot, once you go through security go to the second floor and check in, then go upstairs to the 3rd..
