:wow: So my husband called me from Jordan this morning 6:30 am (my time) 1:30 pm (Jordan time) and said he got a call from our immigration attorney in Amman saying that our case for the I-130 petition has been moved from Vermont to the California processing center? The attorney said that upon arrival at CSC our application is going to be approved within a week or so and we need to start getting some other papers together!!! I was flipping out in the car driving to work. So I just got on the USCIS website & indeed when I check my case status it tells me our application has been moved to CSC and I will get a notice to that effect & to follow any instructions on that notice!!! I think I am going to run around the building a few times to calm down!

Anyone else had their case transferred from VSC to CSC with good results??

Thanks...Prayer works people!!!

I believe mine is a stand alone??? I'm not sure. The immigration attorney just asked us a lot of questions & then said "sign here and I will send this in." That is why I have been confused from the get go because I don't know anything about the whole process. I really don't know what goes where & when & why. The attorney stated to me this week that he filed the I-130 only and that is when I got super confused (I thought we were doing a K-3) & so I started asking him a lot of questions via e-mail that he has yet to answer!!!

I am not sure though, may be u've got a smart attorney I must say...and he is simply doing his best to make it happen...and even if it is only I130, it is worthed to be transfered...

Good Luck...keep us updated with ur information.

This is awesome news Amanda!

I was reading on another thread and had gathered that your att. there in Amman had gone for the CR-1, NOT the k-3.

Mabrook, this is great for you guys. No indefinate waiting at VSC for a k3 approval!!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Yes, I believe that you must be going for a CR-1, not a K-3 if the attorney filed the I-130F.

Anyway, how times have changed. A year ago, I would have wished MY petition had gotten transferred from CSC to VSC.

Good luck, and we wish you a speedy approval.

Congratulations Amanda!!

We too have been blessed by the good news too (being transfered from Vermont to California). We did not do the K-1/K-3 route and I filled without a lawyer. We are very excited about the quick processing time in California. I called and asked if the processing time starts when California received the case or when the case was originally filed... and they (USCIS) tell me it starts when the case was originally filled. Is it random luck that people are being transfered to California or are applicants from particular states being transfered? The person from USCIS did not know the answer to that questions.

I-130 sent: October 14,2008

NOA1 received: October 24, 2008

Transferred to CSC: January 14, 2009

Touched: January 19, 2009

Touched: January 22, 2009

Touched: January 23, 2009

I-130 NAO2 Approval sent!!!: February 10, 2009

Touched: February 11, 2009

Case received at NVC: February 13, 2009 (assigned NVC case #)

AOS fee bill and DS-3032 sent by NVC: Feb 18, 2009

To be transferred to CSC is good news! Congrats and hope things go smoothly!

Our case was also transferred to CSC, but we did file 129f, even though a little late. What will happen now? I hope they don't return the case to VSC, is that possible? I am willing to drop the I129f, would that affect the I130 decision in any way?

Thank you for sharing your experience. It makes the wait much easier.
