Hi to all,

just curious guys, I sent my copy of my us passport all pages (black&white) instead of a certified copy of my birth certificate do i get an RFE for that?

Do I need to request a certified copy of my birth cert right now just incase they ask for it later on? any RFE experienced about this guys?

12-30-08- NOA1 SENT

12-31-08- MONEY ORDER CASHED

01-03-09- NOA1 HARDCOPY RECEIVED

I would think you would be fine if its a US passport. I sent both my passport and a COPY of my birth certificate (I don't think they asked for a certified copy).

Passport copies are fine. Good idea to have a Certified copy of your BC on hand also. May need it down the line. Copy of your bc would have worked also!

Both are used to prove you are a USC.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Passport copies are fine..... it is all you need.

Feb. 12, 2009: NAO1

Feb. 17, 2009: first touch

Feb. 18, 2009: Touch

May 01, 2009: Touch and NAO2 mailed...yeah hey!

May 08, 2009: NAO2 in the mail

NVC Journey

May 15, 2009: NVC case number

May 18, 2009: Gave email add to NVC

May 28, 2009: Received DS 3032 / I-864 Bill

June 1, 2009: Paid I-864 Bill

June 5, 2009: sent AOS stuff

June 29, 2009: sent DS 230

June 28 - Aug. 8: i spent time with my boys in the philippines

IN A BIG HUGE BLUR...OUR CASE WAS COMPLETED AUGUST 5, 2009 (AFTER RFE: HUSBAND'S ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE) AND MY HUSBANDS INTERVIEW WILL BE SEPTEMBER 25, 2009...WE HOPE AND PRAY WE GET IT!

why are you worried? the instructions say all pages of the passport OR birth certificate

I had no problems with sending all the pages in of my passport. No RFE.

10/5/09 - Received NAO1's in the mail

10/5/09- Check cashed

10/11/09 - Received Biometrics letter in the mail

10/29/09- Biometrics appointment

10/14/09 - Walked in for Biometrics appointment

10/15/09 - Touch I-485/I-765

10/16/09 - I-485 transferred to CSC

11/6/09 - EAD approved

11/9/09 - Advance Parole approved

11/23/09- Received EAD/AP

12/2/09 - Email Card Production Ordered!!!!

12/9/09 - Card received

I ended up using both. My birth certificate to show that I am a USC, and my passport (along with all boarding passes stubs) to show how many times I've gone to visit my fiancee.
