What I think is funny is that they sent Sam an expired DS-230 part I form that expired in 2007. What the heck? Don't they keep up to date with the current forms? Luckily we are smart enough to print it from online.

... and Karri ..you (err... I mean Sam) were only waiting with bated breath I might add for that expired form, huh !!! Kidding .. Funny, you say that. My fiancee also got an expired DS 230. It didn't matter to us, however since we had already sent in DS 230 before we got our pkt 3.

I stopped by Fed Ex this morning on the way to work. It cost a pretty penny to send him 5.5 lbs of documents and evidence lol. Guaranteed to get there in 3 days, I need to see it to believe it.

I have used them twice and it did get there in 3 days each time. And you can track it. I actually used my employer's account number to get a corporate discount and it was SIGNIFICANT. I am talking `70 bucks vs <$15 for a 1-1.5 lb package.

So an update for us:

My fiance called last week and actually got someone at the Consulate who answered last Thursday 2/5. They said they had received the application from NVC and that she should just send in the Packet 3 (kind of odd for them to acknowledge that she should just send it in without waiting to receive it). Meanwhile, I had called DoS last week every day and they seemed to think that the Conuslate hadn't gotten the application in mail yet. Anyways, she mailed Packet 3 in Friday (2/6) through DHL and since she is in Delhi they got it on Saturday 2/7. She called on Monday (India time) to check if they had gotten it and they told her to call in the first or second week of March (really odd) again. Anyways, I called DoS on Tuesday (US Time) and they had no clue what was going on. First she almost told me the application was in AP. Then when I told her about what had happened with my fiance and the Consulate, the lady at DoS told me to do whatever the Consulate tells us to do.

Anyways, I always thought you could get some information from DoS but so far the Consulate has been slightly more responsive although the whole call in March kind of baffles me.

Hopefully we can figure out when they schedule the interview from somewhere rather than waiting for Packet 4 the whole time.

We're actually still waiting for our date too. I've called DOS a couple of times and they say that the Embassy received our Packet 3 info in the beginning of Feb, but have not scheduled our interview yet. I'm going to try back again on Monday or Tuesday. Usually the next months interview schedule is posted on the Embassy website around the 15th, so I'm hoping when March's list comes out in a couple of days our case number will be on it!

I do wish they would hurry up though...I'm in complete limbo waiting to book plane tickets to go for the interview. I even have my boss on standby for the dates that I need off. Good thing I have such a flexible boss!!!

About halfway down the page you'll see the link for Delhi. Once you've clicked on that you'll see the month listed on the top of the next page. It's still on February 2009. Click on the month itself and it will bring up the list of case numbers, what type of visa, and the date and time they are scheduled for. I believe they go in numerical order.

The schedules for Chennai and Mumbai are also in this link, just in case anyone is looking for them.

Happy Valentine's day

I actually confirmed w/ DOS that our case has been entered in their system. Still waiting for the interview dates. I am actually hoping that we will get it in March. If you guys check the Feb dates, all the K1s are in early Feb. Will that be the case in March?

I am leaving here on the 23rd Can't fly back for interview.

Classic will be the first to complete the interview.We can expect to hear from him.
