I think it's great that we all got our interview dates!!! I have to say though, even though I knew it was coming and thought we were so organized I now feel like I have no clue what to do! I told my fiance to call one of the Dr's listed for the medical and find out if he has to have the Interview letter before scheduling his medical appointment.

Karri: That's the same interview date as ours so if Sam needs some moral support we'll be there :) Ours is at 11:15...

Sam's is at 10:45 lol. Please comfort him, he'll be so nervous lol.

Congratulations ppl!!

Anybody going to the Delhi Consulate for interview, try the doctor in Bhikaji Cama Place since its not a big hospital they will schedule it for a early date and give the report in 2-3 days. Also its an elderly couple, both doctors. It was a pretty pleasant and hassle free experience for me and a few others I know of.

Thanks Parul! I'll have my fiance call them. Do we need to wait for the appointment letter before making the medical appointment? I hope all is well with you and that you're feeling okay...it's getting close to baby time!

Hi all - just called and double checked. My fiancee's interview date is on 31st March. Can wait to hear back from you guys on your experiences. I am still jet lagged....

9/22 - Mail reached USCIS - CSC

9/23 - Check Cashed

9/23 - NOA1 Notice Date (now wait and pray that NOA2 should come soon!!)

9/27 - NOA1 received by mail

9/29 - Touched (probably to correct typos)

9/30 - Touched

1/14/2009 - NOA2 approved

1/20 - NOA2 hard copy received

1/22 - NVC received petition

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

Sam called the Embassy today to confirm what DOS said. They also told him Packet 4 was mailed on Monday. :dance: He'll post in this forumn shortly.

Thanks Parul! I'll have my fiance call them. Do we need to wait for the appointment letter before making the medical appointment? I hope all is well with you and that you're feeling okay...it's getting close to baby time!

He will need his appointment letter for the medical appointment. Also 2 passport size photographs. Tell him to take any medical reports or any treatment records of past illnesses. I carried my thyroid reports etc and since i had them they did not even look at it. Just be normal. Its not a medical like in some countries. Its pretty easy. A psychological evaluation, blood test, chest x-ray and a physical and he will be done.

As for the baby, I am just hanging in here till Daniel comes home for 2 weeks in about 18 days. I want to do this with him, he's missed most of it but we are sure he'll make it in time for the baby's birth. Everythings going alright for now. thanks for asking.

We haven't received Packet 4 yet, but it sounds like they have already scheduled her medical for her? Maybe Parul can help with this one?

Just call up one of the doctors listed on the panel and tell then according to the instructions on pkt 4 this is your appointment date and time. Most likely they will still schedule you for an appointment according to what is available. Nothing to worry about as long as you get the medical done and have the report before the interview. Dilbert - Our P4 did not say anything along those lines. We just called the doctors from the Approved Kolkata Panel Physicians list. Frankly, I am a bit surprised. Shouldn't you be the one picking a date and time that works for you.

Go ahead and call the doctor's office and they may be able to tell you more...

Timeline for K1 visa

9/11/2008 – mailed I-129F

9/12/2008 – Received at VSC/NOA 1 sent (mail stamp-9/16)

9/15/2008 – check cashed

9/19/2008 –Received NOA1

12/28/2008 – Received NOA2 Approval email from CRIS

01/06/2009 – Left NVC for Mumbai Consulate

01/07/2009 – Received NVC confirmation letter in the mail

01/08/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file electronically and sent packet 3 (info from DOS)

01/10/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file (hard copy) from NVC (DHL tracking)

01/19/2009 – Overnighted packet 3 (still did not receive receive pkt 3 from Mumbai)

Classic - might I remind you that you went through Mumbai and not Delhi so there will be some differences lol.

All - We got packet 4 today! Dilbert we also got a medical appt for March 9th at 16:15 but anyways Sam called the doc in Chandigarh and made an appt for Monday. Said it would take 3 hours and that if everything looks good you can pick up the report that evening. hehehe. Poor Sam has to be poked and prodded. He has to take 2 passport photos, his interview letter and copy of first and last page of passport.

Man things are moving a long fast now! Are you guys going to try to get your immunization shots now or later when you come to the US? They aren't required for K-1 visa but they are for AOS later.
