Happy Valentine's day

I actually confirmed w/ DOS that our case has been entered in their system. Still waiting for the interview dates. I am actually hoping that we will get it in March. If you guys check the Feb dates, all the K1s are in early Feb. Will that be the case in March?

I am leaving here on the 23rd :( Can't fly back for interview.

Classic will be the first to complete the interview.We can expect to hear from him.

I hope we made the cut off for March as well. Dunno yet though. =( Are you leaving on 23rd of Feb or March? How's India? How's your honey doing? I know 4 separate people going to India in March and I'm so jealous. :devil:

Not to rub it in Karri, I was there in Dec and June, too last year (which was a record for me.. I did one every 2/3 yrs before) and will go soon to bring my fiancee back as soon as I am able. End of March or early April, I am guessing...

Yep, I will post as soon as I am done :yes: . Guys - pls pray that all goes well. I can use all the help/support I can get just as everyone else here. We all need to pull for each other.

Dilbert - if you sent your P3 on 2/3 (hey that rhymes), I would say, there is a good chance that you will get a March interview, latter half, I would guess.

Karri - u might make end of March or early April at best.

What about Harsh/Moksha... haven't seen them here for a while. How are you guys doing ?

9/12/2008 – Received at VSC/NOA 1 sent (mail stamp-9/16)

9/15/2008 – check cashed

9/19/2008 –Received NOA1

12/28/2008 – Received NOA2 Approval email from CRIS

01/06/2009 – Left NVC for Mumbai Consulate

01/07/2009 – Received NVC confirmation letter in the mail

01/08/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file electronically and sent packet 3 (info from DOS)

01/10/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file (hard copy) from NVC (DHL tracking)

01/19/2009 – Overnighted packet 3 (still did not receive receive pkt 3 from Mumbai)

01/20/2009 – Packet 3 arrives at Mumbai Consulate

01/23/2009 – called DOS and was informed that packet 4 has been sent and interview date set.

01/24/2009 – Received hard copy of packet 3 (postmark Jan 20). Too late. Already sent packet 3 on Jan 19.

We're still here!!! It's been a busy weekend and we are trying to get everything ready for his interview. I called DOS on Thursday and the operator told me that the Embassy has our info but she didn't have an interview date yet...so, like Karri, we are hoping to get a March interview date! I'll even take late March! Our petition expires April 17th though so they better hurry it up!

Classic: you're the first of us to go through the interview so I am really excited for your outcome and I'm wishing you and your fiance all the best! I'm sure it will all turn out great!

Dilbert: Enjoy your last few days in India and have a safe trip back!

I tried calling DOS today but it was busy, what the heck, they don't have a waiting queue when you call? ARghhh I will call tomorrow morning at 830 am EST while the other US folks are still in bed. :devil:

I actually tried to call DOS today too and I kept getting that all their operators were busy and to hang up and try again later. I'm wondering if they were actually closed today for President's Day???

Think they were closed today. Saw another thread with someone on hold for an hour and realizing they were most likely closed for the holiday. Sorry guys. Don't forget the seq I posted earlier in the thread. It will save you some time.

So I called DOS today and STILL no interview date. The operator told me that the Embassy received our paperwork (packet 3) on Feb 5th, but they haven't scheduled a date yet!!! It's been almost 2 weeks! I'm starting to get a little stressed. Our petition technically expires on April 17th so I'm worried that by the time they schedule the interview, if something additional is needed, we won't have time to submit it!

But, like Karri said, they still haven't posted March's interview schedule yet so I'm holding out hope that we will be on it!

I also called DOS today at 8:35 am, this time i had to wait a min and then I got connected. They confirmed packet 3 was sent but they don't have any updates since then including that we sent it back a week ago! I know the embassy is slow on updating but com'mon now!

If you petition is going to expire the consulate will extend it. Dont worry though April 17th is still 2 months and you will get a interview date much before that.

Two weeks back I had called the Delhi embassy and they told me that they make these decisions 1st of every month. I am not sure if that is the case. I was hoping that they would post the interview schedule every 15th. 1st week of every month doesnt make sense since they have to have made interviews for the first week as well.

Further, if you look at Feb, all K1 interviews were there in the first week.

9/19/2008 - Mailed I-129F by USPS Priority

9/22 - Mail reached USCIS - CSC

9/23 - Check Cashed

9/23 - NOA1 Notice Date (now wait and pray that NOA2 should come soon!!)

9/27 - NOA1 received by mail

9/29 - Touched (probably to correct typos)

9/30 - Touched

1/14/2009 - NOA2 approved

1/20 - NOA2 hard copy received

1/22 - NVC received petition

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

3/9 - Medicals Completed

3/31 - Interview Successful

Well Sam called the embassy today and they picked up lol. He asked them when the best time to call was and they said between 10:30 am to 12 haha. I don't remember the exact conversation he relayed to me but it was something like they haven't logged it yet (packet 3) so no interview has been set yet and they said something about April possibly which is making me angry cause our noa2 expires April 9th. I thought I read somewhere that Delhi doesn't extend the approvals? Anyways I don't want to get my hopes up or down yet until we know for sure when his interview date is.

I don't know how they can decide on the first when people have to get their interview letters, get their medical and submit stuff to VFS?

I think the expiration is 4 months from the NOA2 date so your petition shouldn't expire until May 9th?? At least I hope it's 4 months or I'm in trouble since my NOA2 date is Dec 17th!

Petition expiration is 4 months from the NOA2 date and New Delhi will also extend the petition if need be. I got my NOA2 on 11/20/2007 and then the file was lost coz it was wrongly filed so my case got to the Consulate in february and got the interview date for early march (03/04/2008). My petition was going to expire on 03/20/2008 but everything happened before that. They know when the petition will expire, If you are still worried all you need to do is write a letter stating the same and asking them to extend it about 7-10 days before it does. They will do it. That should not even be one of your worries right now. Just concentrate on your interview and everything will be fine.

hey guys, long time, I got really busy because there is construction at our house, and my grandfather is really ill, not to mention work has been crazy... n e way, finally got around to some paperwork, got a quick question, on the DS 230, part 1, where it asks for all the "SPOUSE" information, do we put N/A on that, since its a fiance visa? OR do we fill it out with the fiance info because I will be the FUTURE SPOUSE??? lol

NOA1: August 29, 2008

NOA2: January 26, 2009,

NVC RECIEVED: January 28, 2009

NVC SENT: February 3, 2009

INDIAN EMBASSY RECIEVED: February 7, 2009

EMBASSY SENT PACKET 3: February 9, 2009
