Question:

My wife petitioned for her son when she arrived in the US in 2005. This of course is a long process. I met her a year later and Petitioned for him in 2007 when we got married. My case went all the way to completion and he received a interview. My petition at interview received a 221(G) and the case was sent back to USCIS. Her case now is at the point where he in the beginning stages at the National Visa Center, while mine should be up for review in February. Will proceeding with her case hurt the case that I am currently working on? Or can I have her case and my case running at the same time with hopes that if mine fails that he has a chance with her case?
